As a Senior Professional Services Consultant, you will be a key member of the Network Security Professional Services team, focusing on the design, deployment, and delivery of our Next-Generation security solutions. You will serve as a technical contributor on complex customer engagements, providing expert guidance to secure customer environments. This hands-on role requires you to solve intricate problems, partner directly with customer technical teams, and lead projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build custom security policies and application signatures tailored to unique customer environments.
- Act as a trusted advisor, consulting with customers on security best practices and methodologies.
- Analyze security logs and events to provide threat analysis reports and strategic recommendations.
- Proactively collaborate with the Technical Assistance Center to diagnose and resolve escalated technical cases.
- Maintain and optimize implemented solutions, providing guidance on code upgrades and new technology adoption.
- Partner with the sales account team to develop technical strategies that align with customer business needs.
- Ensure the successful completion of large-scale customer projects, including design, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Travel to customer sites (25-50%) for meetings and hands-on deployment of engagements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with firewall and IDS/IPS solutions in large-scale environments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent education, training, or experience.
- Extensive knowledge of diverse security threats, internet protocols, and applications.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills with experience leading technical design meetings.
- Holds current, industry-leading cybersecurity certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CISSP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation.
- Experience leveraging tools such as scripts, Excel, or third-party applications to manage and execute migrations.
- Proven ability to work proactively and collaboratively with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
This is a contract opportunity for an initial 12 month duration that has potential to extend. The consultant would be expected to work onsite.
