Job Summary

Join our innovative team to design and deliver sustainable water and wastewater treatment systems, contributing to project success from tendering through commissioning while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced water and wastewater treatment systems during tendering and project phases to drive sustainable solutions.
• Prepare detailed documents and drawings, including flow diagrams, GA, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance for project bids.
• Assess engineering requirements such as equipment sizing, material selection, and piping specifications to optimize process performance.
• Collaborate with team members to develop compelling commercial and technical tender submissions, engaging clients and suppliers effectively.
• Facilitate technical discussions and clarifications with stakeholders to ensure alignment and project clarity.
• Lead detailed engineering for secured projects by developing PFD, PID, technical specifications, process descriptions, and control philosophy documentation.
• Support testing and commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing operation and maintenance manuals to enable smooth project handover and ongoing operational excellence.

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science.
• Minimum 3-5 years of process design experience in wastewater industries.
• Proficiency in Aerobic/Anaerobic processes, membrane technology (UF, MBR), and sludge handling applications in water/wastewater treatment.
• Fluency in Mandarin to communicate effectively with Chinese clients and vendors.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Senior positions available for candidates with extensive experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues.

• IT asset management, including replacement and maintenance.

• Maintain and monitor the company’s servers to ensure optimal performance, security, and uptime.

• Provide support for software-related issues on server and cloud platforms.

• Administer and support the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring correct user access, permissions, and security controls.

• Provide helpdesk and IT support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, network and connectivity issues.

• Perform hardware, user access setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, etc.

• Provide basic IT security awareness training and guidance to employees.

IT Security:

• Manage and maintain security controls across servers, network security, firewalls and hardware.

• Manage and implement email security measures to protect against phishing, spam and other cyber threats.

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures and disaster recovery plan.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT systems, access, and security processes.

• Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Ensure secure access and compliance for remote working staff and company-owned devices.

• Stay up to date with relevant IT and cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing IT Infrastructure and/or cybersecurity

• Strong working knowledge of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

• Working knowledge of IT security fundamentals, including endpoint protection, email security, access control, and basic incident response.

• Proven ability to personally execute core IT tasks rather than outsourcing key responsibilities.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and commit fully to a full-time role.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Relevant certifications (eg. CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Service Technician or Engineer to join our dedicated service team. In this role, you will be the face of our company to our clients, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical water treatment systems. You will perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on a variety of systems, with a primary focus on Demineralized water System, Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) plants across Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled routine servicing of water treatment equipment, including RO and UF systems, at customer sites.

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process issues on-site and perform necessary repairs to minimize system downtime.

• Pump & Equipment Overhaul: Perform maintenance, servicing, on various types of pumps, motors, valves, and associated mechanical equipment.

• System Optimization: Monitor system performance parameters, make necessary adjustments, and recommend improvements to ensure optimal operation and water quality.

• Site Coordination: Plan daily travel routes efficiently to service multiple customer locations across Singapore.

• Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed service reports after each job, documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future action.

• Customer Communication: Liaise directly with customers to explain technical issues, provide updates on service status, and offer technical advice.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Prior experience in operation & servicing water treatment systems, (RO/UF/EDI) or industrial equipment (pumps, piping) is highly advantageous. Fresh graduates with a strong technical aptitude are welcome to apply.

• Technical Skills:

1. Familiarity with Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) system components and operation.
2. Experience with pump maintenance, bearing replacement, and seal changes.
3. Basic understanding of electrical control panels and electrical wiring is a plus.
4. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and technical manuals of equipment.

Other Requirements:

• Possess a Class 3 driving license (Singapore) is mandatory.
• 2-5 years relevant experience preferred in water/wastewater treatment systems, pumps, valves, instrumentation or related equipment.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Singapore.
• Willing and able to perform hands-on site-based technical duties in industrial environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work after office hours for urgent breakdowns when required.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Senior position will be considered for candidates with more experience.
