Country Manager (Malaysia)

Location:Malaysia

Reports to: General Manager, Kingenta Asia Pacific

Position Purpose

The Country Manager will be the chief architectof Kingenta Asia Pacific’s footprint in Malaysia. You will be responsible forbuilding the local team from the ground up, securing market share in high-valuesegments like Oil Palm and Durian, and building a robust national distributionnetwork for Kingenta Asia Pacific’s crop nutrition, specialty fertilizer, andbiostimulant categories. Additionally, you will lead the strategic execution oflocal manufacturing landing for Controlled-Release Fertilizers (CRF).

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Market Expansion: Drive the primary development of sales and marketing initiatives in Malaysia. Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans, managing orders, inventory, and dealer networks to achieve aggressive growth targets.
• National Distribution Network Development: Design and execute a comprehensive national distribution strategy to ensure deep market penetration for Kingenta Asia Pacific’s portfolios. Identify, recruit, and manage high-performing distributors and traders while establishing robust joint-business plans.
• Manufacturing Project Landing: Setup and launch Malaysia-based Controlled-Release Fertilizer (CRF) production facility and lead the manufacturing team via a plant manager.  
• Team Building & Leadership: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of a high-performing local sales and agronomic service team.
• Key Account & Plantation Management: Act as a strategic partner to the Singapore-based Commercial Product Manager to align technical value propositions with the specific needs of corporate plantations.
• Trial & Demonstration (LVT): Facilitate the regional agronomy team in establishing Local Validation Trials (LVT) and demonstration plots with major plantation clients to provide localized proof of product efficacy.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research into competitor movements, industry policies, and local crop needs to refine product positioning.

Candidate Requirements

·     Experience: 10+ years in Agribusiness salesand/or marketing, preferably in a multinational Ag-Tech company.

·     Expertise: Proven track record in fertilizer and agrochemicalbusiness development. Experience with Specialty Fertilizers or Biostimulants ishighly preferred.

·     Scientific & Analytical Mindset: Demonstratesa deep commitment to evidence-based selling, with the ability to translatecomplex agronomic data and trial results into clear commercial value forcustomers.

·     Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ESGcompliance (e.g., RSPO for Oil Palm) would be an asset.

·     Education: Bachelor’s degree or above inAgronomy, Trade, Business, or Chemical Engineering.

·     Language: Fluency in at least at least two of thislanguages: English, Mandarin, or Malay.

Commercial Product Manager (Singapore)

Position Purpose

The Commercial Product Manager is thestrategic architect responsible for translating Kingenta Asia Pacific’sscientific innovations into quantifiable commercial value across theAsia-Pacific region. Based in the Singapore regional hub, you will lead thelifecycle management of our specialty fertilizer and biostimulant portfolioswhile driving high-level B2B technology enablement for regional fertilizerproducers.

Your mission is twofold:

1. Direct Value Conversion: Drive the adoption of Kingenta Asia Pacific protocols among major plantation operators by proving the economic impact of Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and Return on Investment (ROI).

1. B2B Strategic Partnerships: Scale our "Intel Inside" model by partnering with regional fertilizer manufacturers to license our proprietary inhibitors and enhancers, elevating their portfolios into next-generation, high-value solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·     StrategicPortfolio Leadership: Manage the regional commercial roadmap for oneof three high-value business lines: Specialty Fertilizers (CRF/WSF),Biostimulants, and integrated Crop Nutrition Programs, ensuring the categorydelivers its value proposition.

·     Value-BasedPlantation Conversion: Lead the engagement and conversion of majorplantation operators in the Oil Palm and commercial grower sectors by focusingon proving Return on Investment (ROI) and Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE).

·     B2BTechnology Licensing: Develop and execute the commercial frameworkfor licensing proprietary technology of inhibitors and enhancers to regionalfertilizer producers, enabling them to elevate their product portfolios intonext-generation, high-value solutions.

·     RegionalPortfolio Lifecycle Management:Manage the product roadmap for specialty fertilizers/biostimulants/cropnutrition programs across the Asia-Pacific, ensuring all offerings align withthe "Beyond the Bag" science-driven brand identity.

·     LocalValidation Trial (LVT) Oversight:Oversee the technical-commercial protocols of the LVT program in key regional marketsto generate localized data-backed proof of product efficacy and economic value.

·     SalesEnablement & Toolkit Development:Create and deliver high-impact technical sales toolkits and training programsthat empower country teams to transition customer conversations from"Price per Bag" to "Value per Hectare".

The Senior Agronomist is the leadscientific authority responsible for the design, execution, and validation ofKingenta Asia Pacific’s crop nutrition protocols. You will lead the LocalValidation Trial (LVT) program to generate the empirical evidence required toprove Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and Return on Investment (ROI) for major plantations.

Beyond trial management, you are responsible fortranslating complex plant physiology and soil science into high-impactmarketing materials. Your mission is to clearly articulate the product's Modeof Action (MoA) and value, providing the "Scientific Proof" thatenables our "Beyond the Bag" value proposition. Additionally, youwill lead regional ESG and Sustainability quantification efforts, ensuring ourenvironmental claims are backed by rigorous field data.

Key Responsibilities
