Job Summary

Assist in preparing materials and job cost estimates, dismantling and installing aircon systems, diagnosing malfunctions, performing maintenance, and supporting engineers on site to ensure efficient air conditioning operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material lists, estimate job costs, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools for aircon system projects
• Dismantle and install air conditioning systems, including ducting, copper piping, and electrical connections
• Diagnose electro-mechanical, electrical, and mechanical malfunctions in aircon systems to identify repair needs
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and functional checks to ensure aircon systems operate effectively
• Read meters and gauges, recording data such as equipment temperature and hours of operation for monitoring purposes
• Calibrate and adjust thermostats, valves, and controls to maintain specified operational levels
• Apply insulating materials like slabs, sheets, or loose-fill to surfaces of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, pipes, and ductwork
• Examine plans and specifications to determine correct type, quality, and quantity of insulation materials required for each job
• Record detailed information on installation, maintenance, and repair activities for accurate job documentation
• Assist engineers during site meetings by providing relevant information and support
• Deliver customer service that meets quality standards at all interaction levels
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients to support project success

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work hand-in-hand with the project team + Factory production to create a mutual understanding of the project strategy based on the requirement of the job.
• Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of all project or contract documents so as to be familiar with every detail and/or requirements.
• Work with safety units in a bid to plan and manage safety programs for each project and also factory to make sure that all aspects of safety are reached.
• Help project managers, engineers and supervisor in the arrangement and analysis of projects and scheduling of reports on projects weekly.
• Factory side need to carried out to make sure that the work is done according to outlined specifications, and that they also conform with project timetable to make the production.
• Convey project needs from the project manager to the management of the firm. For example, in a case whereby extra funds are needed for the completion of a project, the project manager communicates the situation to the management of the company usually through the construction operations manager
• Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the company’s relationship with contractors in a bid to produce strategic partnership
• Train and mentor employees in areas of project management and estimating.

Requirements:

• Must have experience to handle Project team on ACMV field and Factory production experience on CAMDUCT, Laser drawing setting, Duct line setting and delivery arrangement with dispatch team.
• Good and effective communication skills with worker (Tamil and English)
• Good analytical and organizational abilities are of great importance
• Possess good leadership ability, as well as ability to work as part of a team or even lead a team when called upon
• Ability to read and interpret specifications
• Ability to be proactive and also to foresee events and react appropriately towards them
• The ability to multitask and strategize in different situations is also relevant
• Ability to work and carry out projects within a stipulated time frame or deadline
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or electrical engineering
• At least 5 years on-the-job experience in a similar role or in any other construction capacity.
