Job Description
The Preschool Senior Principal provides strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the centre delivers high-quality early childhood education in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Centre Management
   Oversee daily centre operations, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain high standards in health and safety, and cultivate a positive organisational culture.
   
2. Strategic Growth & Enrolment
   Drive enrolment growth through strategic planning, brand positioning, parent engagement, and community partnerships.
   
3. Curriculum & Programme Development
   Support and show interest in curriculum development and implementation to promote thematic-based, Mandarin immersion learning.
   
4. Staff Leadership & Development
   Lead, mentor, and develop staff through performance management, classroom observations, and structured professional development plans.
   
5. Financial & Administrative Management
   Manage budgets and reports, monitor financial performance, and ensure efficient resource allocation to maintain sustainability.
   
6. Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
   Build strong relationships with parents, address feedback effectively, and promote transparent communication to support children’s learning outcomes.
   

Job Requirements

• Recognised Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from an approved institution, with at least 3 years of experience leading a preschool team
• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership) or equivalent
• Dependable leadership and people management skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Financial and Operational Management experience preferred, with experience with Preschool Management Systems and Childcare Management Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Summary

Deliver engaging Chinese language instruction for primary and secondary students, ensuring curriculum effectiveness and student progress. Mentor new teachers and maintain accurate academic and attendance records while collaborating with parents and conducting seminars.

Responsibilities

Preschool Chinese Teacher (2-6 years old)

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Chinese Teacher to design and deliver engaging Chinese Language and cultural lessons for preschoolers. The role focuses on building foundational language skills, fostering a love for Chinese, and supporting children's social-emotional growth though interactive, play-based learning.

Job Description

• Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans aligned with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) guidelines, integrating play, stories, songs, and hands-on activities to teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing fundamentals in Chinese
• Conduct daily Chinese lessons for different preschool groups (Nursery 1/2, Kindergarten 1/2), adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Create a positive, safe classroom environment that encourages participation and cultural appreciation
• Assess children's progress regularly through observations and informal assessments, providing constructive feedbacks to parents and caregivers
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Chinese Language into cross-curricular activities (e.g. art, music, outdoor play)
• Communicate effectively with parents, updating them on children's development and involving them in learning activities
• Organize cultural events (e.g. Chinese New Year celebrations, Mid-Autumn Festival activities) to enrich children's understanding of Chinese traditions
• Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and classroom activities
• Stay updated on best practices in early childhood Chinese Language education and participate in professional development programs

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Chinese Language, or a relevant discipline
• Valid ECDA-approved teaching certification (e.g. WSQ Advanced Certificated in Early Childhood Care and Education - Teaching)
• Strong proficiency in Chinese for teaching and classroom management, and strong command of English for effective communication between parents and colleagues
• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching Chinese to preschoolers (or young children) in a structured educational setting
• Excellent classroom management skills, creativity in lesson design, ability to connect with young children, and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiar with ECDA curriculum frameworks and early childhood development principles; Understanding of Singapore's multicultural context
• Demonstrates patience and enthusiasm working with young children, and is committed to creating an inclusive and respectful learning environment

Job Description

• Coordinate with the Centre Leader on new enrolments and provide administrative support for enrolment documentation and invoice payments
• Provide administrative support for report submissions, subsidy, and grant applications to relevant external agencies, as well as student withdrawals and record-keeping
• Follow up with parents on timely payment of invoices, including outstanding or overdue amounts
• Create and maintain student records by entering new enrolments into the CMs and Taidii systems
• Liaise with the Finance Department on programme invoices collection, payment records, and invoicing matters
• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing from vendors and raising requisition needs for groceries, cleaning supplies, stationery, and other operational resources
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all centre supplies and resources
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Centre Leader

Job Requirements

• Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g. General Studies or Administration), with at least 1 year of relevant working experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated individual, well-organized, and able to manage time effectively while multitasking
• Demonstrates initiative and a positive, professional disposition, able to work independently and collaboratively as a team
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and integrity
• Familiarity with ECDA requirements will be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Comfortable to work on Saturdays when required
