Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate and liaise with local and overseas suppliers for construction materials & services
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings
- Manage logistics for both local and overseas shipments, including import and export coordination
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents and customs where required
- Prepare and process purchase orders (PO), delivery orders (DO), invoices and shipping documents
- Ensure proper documentation for import/export (e.g. packing list, bill of landing, permits if applicable)
- Track shipments and monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and in good condition
- Follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, logistics and supplier performance
- Work closely with project/site teams to understand material requirements and timelines
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and project budgets
- Support other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Key Requirements:
- Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or logistics (construction industry preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to details
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
