Job Summary

Reporting to the Piping Manager, the Assistant Manager will support overall planning, execution, and coordination of piping engineering works. You will be responsible for reviewing deliverables, ensuring quality and compliance, and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is part of succession planning. The selected candidate will be groomed to take over as Department Manager due to the current Manager’s planned retirement. A salary adjustment and role upgrade will follow upon promotion.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review piping layout, 3D models, material take-offs (MTO), and other engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project specs, international codes, and internal quality standards
• Plan and coordinate piping engineering activities and manpower allocation for multiple projects
• Lead and support in the development of department procedures, technical guides, and training materials
• Conduct technical training for engineers and designers within the department
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure proper interface and alignment
• Provide field engineering support and technical advice during piping installation, testing, and commissioning
• Participate in model reviews, constructability checks, and technical evaluations
• Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and support project milestones
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Piping Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 15 years of experience in piping design and engineering, preferably in onshore EPC plant construction projects
• Strong knowledge of Caesar II for stress analysis and familiarity with interpreting stress/vibration reports
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D model review tools such as Navisworks or SmartPlant Review
• Sound understanding of piping materials, specifications, standards, and construction techniques
• Ability to perform complex piping calculations (e.g. trigonometry, quadratic equations, etc.)
• Strong analytical, coordination, and decision-making skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to lead and work with cross-functional teams

This role is responsible for formulating and executing sales strategies for JGCAP in Singapore and neighboring APAC markets. The position focuses on driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong client relationships in energy, chemical, life sciences, industrial, and urban infrastructure sectors.

Job Description:

・Formulate sales policies, proposals and business plans for the company. The position is expected to formulate specific short-, medium- and long-term sales strategies for the company based on its group sales policy and drive the sales growth and business performance to achieve group targets.

・Coordinate and work closely with key clients to formulate business strategies and action plans for future projects. This role will also take a lead role in project-based commercial strategies, such as the coordination of joint venture partnerships, alliances, etc.

・Identify key issues in sales strategy of the company and entire JGC group in APAC countries and formulate policies to address them. Regularly report, propose and discuss with the senior management of the company and Japan headquarters sales department to achieve sales targets.

・Work closely with management of relevant divisions/departments of the company and the sales division of Japan HQ. Formulate sales strategies and take an initiative to promote it. Interpret market segment information and secure new business opportunities and projects (in areas of energy, chemicals, life sciences, industrial and urban infrastructure, etc.) in APAC countries to achieve the JGC group targets.

・Lead complex proposals/negotiations with customers, including projects need to be undertaken by forming joint venture with other company(ies). This position is particularly required to handle large-size projects with several stakeholders (both outside and inside the company) and manage our top-tier customers who expect close commitment and extensive knowledge in the business side of the projects.

・Take the operational lead of development of sales strategy of the JGC Group, particularly in terms of building, maintaining and improving the customer relationship.

・Implement measures to explore new business opportunities (new customers and new business domain) and build and maintain trusting relationship with new customers, based on the sales strategy.

・Communicate with various stakeholders, including shareholders, partners, relevant government agencies and customers (including existing and new customers) in Japan and across the APAC to build and maintain trusting relationships.

・Identify issues and needs of customers in Singapore and neighboring countries covered by the JGC Group, lead the preparation of proposals in cooperation with related departments to formulate solutions, communicate with customers and negotiate contract matters.

・Share sales information and propose execution policies to relevant departments in the company

・Work together with internal teams to develop proposal including technical idea and solutions to achieve sales targets by ensuring the best possible services and effective communications to all regional customers.

Requirements:

・At least 12 years' experience in sales department in the Oil & Gas and/or industrial and urban infrastructure related industries, including more than 3 projects with a value of USD 100million or more.

・Experience as Department Manager or equivalent position of a listed company or a group company of a listed company with more than 1,000 employees.

・Possesses in-depth practical knowledge and understanding of contractual practices and contracts in EPC projects

・At least 5 years of experience with EPC project (including estimation work) in the APAC region in Oil & Gas and/or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry

・Experience in leading a project to establish new JV entity and its project office.

・Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to think "outside the box" to solve problems.

Role Summary

The Civil / Structural Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of civil designs, including preparing rigorous calculations and reviewing design drawings. You will ensure all outputs adhere to customer specifications, relevant international codes (e.g., AISC, ASCE), and established practices for large-scale industrial plants, specifically within the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. The Civil / Structural Engineer will support the engineering and execution of large-scale oil, gas, LNG, petrochemical, and utility facilities, including onshore, offshore, modularized, and overseas projects.

The role involves steel structure design, pipe rack systems, modular structures, and transportation/lifting conditions, with strong multi discipline coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Calculations: Prepare detailed foundation, structural, and hydraulic calculation sheets, including structural steel design and verification for pipe racks, modular structures, and access platforms (stairways, ladders, and handrails). Ensure the accuracy of load calculations and member sizing for all applicable load cases, including seismic, transportation, lifting, and temporary conditions, in full compliance with AISC 360 / 341, ASCE 7, API, PIP, and client specifications.

• Modeling & Drafting: Support and review the development of 3D structural models and shop fabrication drawings for pipe racks, modular structures, and associated plant facilities, ensuring constructability and alignment with project design intent.

• Design Coordination: Provide clear and accurate technical instructions, design criteria, and calculation data to Designers and partner engineering offices. Coordinate closely with piping, mechanical, and other disciplines to avoid clashes and optimize plant layout.

• Procurement Support: Prepare and verify anchor bolt, setting bolt, and embedded item lists for procurement and construction, ensuring compliance with client specifications, applicable codes, and required safety factors.

• Quality Assurance: Perform independent self-checks and participate in peer reviews of calculations, models, and drawings to ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and consistency with approved design concepts.

• Project Collaboration: Support EPC project execution by carrying out additional technical and coordination tasks assigned by the Department Manager, including interface support with construction sites, module yards, or partner engineering teams, to achieve overall project milestones.

Requirements:

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related structural discipline.

Experience:

o Professional experience in plant engineering design and construction.

o Direct experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industrial projects is preferred.

Role Summary

The Chief Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment) specializes in the engineering leadership of static and packaged equipment (including pressure vessels, air‑cooled heat exchangers, cryogenic heat exchangers, cold boxes, filters, tanks, and heaters) to support FEED, EPC, EPCIC, and commissioning phases of large‑scale Oil & Gas, LNG, and Petrochemical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Design & Verification: Prepare, review, and verify equipment data sheets, material requisitions, technical specifications, and complex mechanical calculations for static and vendor designed equipment packages, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers (air cooled and cryogenic), cold boxes, filters, tanks, electric heaters, and other LLIs. Ensure alignment with project design basis, client specifications, licensor requirements, and applicable international codes.

• Technical Management: Lead and govern the review of vendor engineering documents, fabrication drawings, design calculations, and manufacturing procedures to ensure full compliance with project requirements. Manage technical clarifications, deviations, and risk mitigation for critical and schedule driving equipment throughout the engineering and procurement phases.

• Interface Control: Act as the focal point for technical coordination across multi-disciplinary teams (Piping, Structural, Civil, Instrumentation, Electrical, Process), licensors, clients, shipyards, and global vendors. Ensure consistent and accurate data transfer, resolve complex technical interfaces, and maintain alignment across FEED, EPC, and construction activities.

• Lead Duties: Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and direction to lead engineers, senior engineers, and engineering teams. Manage engineering deliverables, manpower planning, progress tracking, and technical risk registers (including Lessons Learned). Participate in key technical decisions, design approvals, and escalation of critical engineering issues impacting safety, quality, cost, or schedule.

• Project Support: Support construction, fabrication follow up, site activities, and pre commissioning as required. Provide timely technical resolution for field related issues, vendor queries, and installation challenges to ensure smooth equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning.

Requirements:

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

o Extensive professional experience in the design, engineering, and delivery of static and packaged equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, cold boxes, filters, tanks, etc.).

o Proven leadership experience in FEED, EPC, EPCIC, or EPCC environments within Oil & Gas, LNG, or Petrochemical industries, including coordination with licensors, clients, shipyards, and global vendors.

Note: For Chief positions, a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience is typically required.

Technical Skills:

o Strong working knowledge of international engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, and relevant client specifications.

o Proven capability in design basis development, vendor document review, technical risk management, and complex engineering problem solving.

o Excellent technical writing and engineering documentation skills.

Soft Skills:
