Job role: Employee Benefits - Business Development Insurance Broker (Manager/Senior Manager)

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development:
- Sales/Securing of new business
- Identify new prospects, leads and pipelines (including networking)
- Propose the most suitable insurance solution to clients
- Onboarding new clients including placement
- Devise and deliver employee communication plan
- Assist in claims where required (during initial stage of onboarding the new client)
- Identify cross-selling opportunities with other divisions
- Engage in marketing activities
- Promote good team spirit and co-operation
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to retain clients and build long-term partnerships.
Needs Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand client’s specific needs and objectives.
- Analyze the existing employee benefits programs and identify areas for improvement on renewal.
- Help clients manage and control the costs of their benefits.
- Provide strategies for cost containment.
Market Research and Plan Design:
- Identify the insurance market to find best available plans and carriers.
- Design customised employee benefits plans that align with client’s goals and budget.
- Present multiple options and explaining the benefits and drawbacks of each.
Negotiation:
- Negotiate with insurance carriers to secure the best rates and terms for the client.
- Leverage industry knowledge and relationships to obtain favorable terms for clients.
Employee Communication and Education:
- Conduct in-person or online sessions to brief employees on their benefits.
- Provide on-going support to answer employee/HR questions and resolve issues/
Claims Management:
- Assist in claim escalations from HR or employees
- Act as a liaison between employee and insurance carriers to resolve claims issues, if applicable
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Excellent report writing skills
- Good team spirit
- Resilient and able to meet deadlines
- Able to build relationship across all levels
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- A recognized degree in any discipline and/or professional insurance qualifications
- Good working knowledge of employee benefits products
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written English (Effective bilingual in Mandarin will be bonus)
