As a property leader, you are responsible for all aspects of the operations, including guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, and sales and revenue generation for the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guest feedback on Revinate and TripAdvisor to benchmark hotel performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Handle escalated guest complaints and lead service recovery processes to maintain high satisfaction levels
• Conduct weekly and monthly property inspections to ensure operational standards and maintenance progress
• Oversee preventative maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and minimize disruptions
• Implement and enforce best practices in guest service to enhance customer experience consistently
• Manage completion of key property initiatives, including capital projects and refurbishments, ensuring quality and timeliness
• Lead the annual business planning process, aligning operational goals with financial targets
• Prepare, present, and drive achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Sales and Marketing Plan, and Capital Budget
• Support key corporate client management and participate in new client acquisition alongside the sales team
• Assist sales efforts for key contracts and prospects as needed to support revenue growth
• Ensure accurate financial record-keeping through collaboration with the finance team and timely reporting
• Enforce full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, procedures, and service standards
• Facilitate effective and timely communication regarding hotel policies and procedures across teams
• Build owner loyalty by proactively managing expectations and delivering consistent business results

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree from an accredited university in hospitality, tourism management, or a related field
• Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a management role such as Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms Division Manager, Operations Manager, or Director of Sales

The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining business opportunities through active direct sales, marketing, emails, or other forms of communication to maximize revenue opportunity. He/She will identify areas of improvement in overall sales performance and develop strategic action plans to optimize the performance of the sales team and drive incremental sales revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Director of Commercial, you are the key member of the management team.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities manage account base to maximise performance across all revenue streams (Corporate and Groups).
• Generate and maximize the business potential of the designated portfolio through daily sales calls, telephone calls, effective account servicing, site inspection and entertainment.
• Manage and maintain the business relationship with existing and new clientele base to achieve customer satisfaction; ensure external and internal customers are satisfied with our services.
• Participate and coordinate promotional and trade shows or any other assignment.
• Development of sales strategies and action plans to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored and goals are achieved – launch tactical promotions if required.
• Identifies and develops new and existing business opportunities by planning and executing specific strategies.
• Develops and executes sales programs that encourage intermediaries and travel partners to drive incremental business to the Hotel.
• Establishes sales targets and revenue objectives are met and tracks performance against established goals.
• Monitors competitors’ activities and assists in marketing intelligence.
• Travel when required to promote the hotel and develop potential business in other markets.

What We’re Looking For:

• Diploma in hospitality or tourism management or a related field with experience
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a hotel capacity
• Relevant room sales experience in the hospitality industry with proven sales track record preferred
• Matured, self-motivated, dynamic, meticulous and result-oriented individual
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong network preferred
• Possess strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Effectively bilingual

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible. 
• Assists in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations. 
• Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, and cash handling policies and procedures. 
• Understands room status and room status tracking. 
• Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates. 
• Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel. 
• Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property. 
• Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification housekeeping of all check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms. 
• Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures. 
• Maintains guest room key storage, and maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes. 
• Process guest check-outs. 
• Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, raising paid out's, currency exchange. 
• Follows procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes used by guests. 
• Works closely with the housekeeping department in the keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work. 
• Uses proper telephone etiquette. 
• Performs cashiering tasks like bill / invoice settlement, posting charges to the guest, paid out's, Foreign currency exchange etc. 
• Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures. Courier Mail Register 
• Reads and initials the daily log and bulletin board. Is aware of daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel. 
• Attends department meetings. 
• Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the Operations Manager or Assistant Manager. 
• Knows all safety and emergency procedures, Is aware of accident prevention policies. 
• Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area. 
• Understand that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts. 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Possess certificate or diploma in hospitality, tourism and related discipline.

Experience:

• Preferably minimum 1 year working experience in hotel- related or customer service-related position.

Key responsibilities:

1. Front Office Operations

• Supervise, direct, and motivate the Front Office team to maintain high performance and up-to-date knowledge of hotel products and services.

• Proficient in check-in, check-out and understands overall billing procedures.

• Understands booking & cancellation policies.

• Able to handle guests complains & provide service recovery.

• Accurate understanding of the night audit procedure regarding with hotel PMS system.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure consistent awareness of hotel promo, ongoing events and operational updates.

• Implement and execute emergency response protocols according to standard operating procedures to safeguard guests and staff.

• Manage crisis situations promptly and effectively to minimize impact on guest safety and hotel operations.

2. Administrative & General

• Handles and keeps the record of incoming official letters in file, and report to the Front

• Office Manager with the information.

• Request for purchasing pantry supplies and stationaries.

• Maintains front office work stations & cleanliness.

• Manages Smart Mart & vending machines.

3. Others

• Take on ad-hoc office or other projects when assigned.

• Participate in Front Office committees and task force assignment.
