- Plan and monitor daily production schedules
- Ensure output meets demand and deadlines
- Improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime
- Implement Lean / Six Sigma / continuous improvement programs
- Manage equipment maintenance and upgrades

2) People & Leadership
- Lead supervisors, engineers, and production staff
- Hire, train, and evaluate employees
- Manage shift planning and workforce productivity
- Build a strong safety and performance culture
Typical team size: 50–500+employees
3) Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety standards (OSHA / local regulations)
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments
- Ensure environmental and legal compliance
- Lead incident investigations
Safety is one of the biggest KPIs.
4) Quality Control
- Ensure products meet company and customer standards
- Implement quality systems (ISO, GMP, HACCP depending on industry)
- Reduce defects, waste, and rework
5) Financial & Budget Management
- Manage plant budget and operational costs
- Monitor KPIs:
- Production cost per unit
- Downtime
- Scrap rate
- Inventory levels
- Drive cost reduction initiatives
6) Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination
- Work with procurement and logistics teams
- Ensure raw materials arrive on time
- Manage inventory and warehouse operations
- Coordinate shipping and delivery schedules
7) Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Execute company manufacturing strategy
- Introduce automation and new technology
- Lead process improvement projects
- Report plant performance to senior leadership
