Job Summary
Perform welding tasks by reading engineering drawings, setting up components, and welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment, maintenance of machinery & equipment, while supporting other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements to plan welding layouts accurately
- Set up welding components according to specified engineering requirements
- Perform welding using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions to meet quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow
- Demonstrate proactive learning to improve welding techniques and job performance
- Complete additional ad-hoc duties as assigned to support operations
- Work overtime as required to meet production schedules
Required competencies and certifications
- Welding and cutting experience, especially with FCAW / Semi-Auto at least 1G
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Possess at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering
Other Information
- Working Hours: 6 days a week (9am to 8pm) with 1 day off
- OT pay
