Job Summary

• Assist Project Engineer and/or Project Manager in achieving plan site progress and managing other site issues.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Attend site meeting and inspection.
• Prepare work schedule and method statement.
• Monitor and report of site progress.

• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.

Responsibilities:

a. Technical Review – Review architectural, consultants’, and all specialists’ drawings, layouts, and specifications. Ensure all M&E designs meet contractual requirements and comply with relevant local authority standards (BCA, PUB, SCDF, etc.).

b. Design Coordination – Manage and integrate all M&E design works with architectural, structural, and other disciplines. Resolve design discrepancies with consultants and subcontractors to achieve a fully coordinated and buildable design. Ensure timely issuance of design and shop drawings in line with the project schedule and construction sequence.

c. Technical Support and Problem Solving – Provide technical support to the site team and resolve M&E design issues during construction. Ensure all installations comply with approved designs and statutory requirements.

d. Statutory Approvals – Assist in the preparation and submission of M&E drawings/documents to relevant authorities for approvals, including Corenet X Gateways, Building Plan (BP), Works Permit (WP), Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP), and Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC).

e. Documentation and Communication – Maintain proper records of design changes, site instructions (CVIs/RFIs/RFAs), and correspondences. Attend technical and design coordination meetings (internal and external), report outcomes, and ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.

f. Material and Sample Coordination – Support the construction team in preparing and obtaining approval for M&E materials and samples to ensure compliance with design specifications.

g. BIM Coordination / VR Walkthrough – Utilize Revit, Navisworks, and Enscape to coordinate architectural, structural, and M&E models, identify clashes, and ensure consistency and accuracy in construction documents.

h. As-Built BIM Model / Drawings – Manage all specialists to ensure accurate and compliant M&E as-built BIM models/drawings and O&M manuals upon project completion.

i. Design Change & Value Engineering – Manage design changes and propose cost-effective or practical design improvements to enhance project efficiency.

Requirements:

a. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.

b. Minimum 3 years of experience as an M&E Design Coordinator or M&E Coordinator on Design & Build condominium projects with A1 main contractors.

c. Strong understanding of M&E systems (ACMV, Electrical, ELV, Plumbing & Sanitary, Gas, Fire Protection, PWCS, Lift/Pool, etc.).

d. Familiarity with Singapore authority codes and submission procedures (URA, BCA, NEA, PUB, SCDF, LTA, TFCC, EMA, etc.).

e. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM coordination tools.

f. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

g. Able to build good working relationships with consultants, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

h. Capable of coordinating efficiently with multi-disciplinary teams and working under project deadlines.

i. Candidates with more experience may be considered for the Senior M&E Design Coordinator role.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of Structural Drawings: Review structural design drawings and documents submitted by the consultant for constructability, compliance with project specifications and potential clashes with other disciplines. Responsible for timely scheduling and issuance of FW/CBP drawings and sub cons structural shop drawings align with project schedule and construction activities.
• Liaison with Consultants and Subcontractors: Working closely with structural consultants/architectural/M&E engineers and various subcontractors to resolve structural/technical issues and ensure smooth integration of different disciplines.
• Statutory Approvals: Assisting in the preparation and submission of structural drawings/ documents to relevant authorities to obtain necessary approvals such as Corenet X Gateways, Building Plan (BP), Structural Plan (ST), Works Permit (WP), Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) and Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC). Keep track of the status of submissions and liaise with authorities to expedite the approval process.
• Technical Support and Problem Solving: Provide technical support to the site team on structural-related matters, interpreting design drawings and resolving site queries. Liaise with the structural consultant to address site issues and implement design changes or clarifications as needed.
• Documentation and Communication: Maintaining proper documentation of design changes, site instructions (CVIs/RFIs/SDAs) and correspondences. Attending technical meetings and Internal / External design coordination meetings to report outcomes and ensure effective communication among project stakeholders.
• Building Information Modelling (BIM) Coordination/ VR Walkthrough: Familiar with Revit/Naviswork/Enscape to coordinate structural and consultant drawings, identify clashes and ensure consistency in construction documents.
• As-Built BIM Model/Drawings: Compiling and handing over structural as-built BIM Model/drawings upon project completion.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Structural Design Engineer, Project Engineer or Structural Coordinator on Design & Build condominium projects for A1 main contractors. Candidates with C&S consultant firm experience and design background will be preferred.
• Perform structural analysis and simulations using software such as ACAD, Revit, STAAD. Pro, or similar tools.
• Familiar with local authorities (URA/BCA/NEA/PUB/SCDF/LTA/Nparks) requirements.
• Ability builds up good relationships with consultants, work independently and as part of a team.
• Candidates with more experience can be considered for Senior Structural Design Coordinator role.

The Safety Officer duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Ensure all Statutory act & regulations, company safety rules & regulations and code of practice are implemented and complied by all staff.
• Review and recommend necessary changes regularly to the safety management system to keep it updated with the applicable local legislation.
• Conduct safety training related to the activity based on Safe Work Procedure / Risk Assessment.
• Manage Safety Audits on site.
• Review all risk assessments and risk management internally and externally.
• Conduct monthly WSH Committee Meeting and put up safety reports.
• Conduct monthly Mass Toolbox Meeting and participate in the Daily Toolbox Meeting.
• Enforce house rules on all stake holders and take action when necessary for noncompliance.
• Work closely with the project team to eliminate security, safety, health and environment hazards.
• Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on matters pertaining to occupational safety and health.
• Advice Project Director/Manager in occupational safety and health.
• Inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health is in proper working condition.
• Manage incidents' investigations, recommend corrective actions and follow-up on the implementations and effectiveness of actions taken
• Review and maintain site's environmental, health and safety records
• Ensure PTW supporting documents are valid and in place for operational performance
