About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager – Fire Protection to support the successful delivery of fire protection projects across residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
You will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee project execution, coordination, and compliance while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution
- Assist in managing fire protection projects including:Sprinkler systemsFire hydrant systemsFire alarm and detection systems
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines
Technical & Site Support
- Review drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions
- Coordinate with design teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Attend site meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings
- Track and follow up on RFIs, approvals, and material submissions
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NBC, IS, and local fire codes
- Support QA/QC inspections and documentation
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover processes
Commercial & Reporting
- Support project cost tracking, billing, and variation claims
- Prepare progress reports, site updates, and documentation
- Assist in procurement planning and material tracking
Requirements
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Fire Engineering or related field
- 4–8 years of experience in fire protection projects
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and codes
- Experience in site coordination and project execution
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in high-rise, industrial, or commercial projects
- Familiarity with AutoCAD / BIM drawings
- Exposure to testing and commissioning processes
- Knowledge of local authority approval procedures
