BrainFit School House in Balestier is hiring a Full Time Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students and staff in our kindergarten, following NEA and ECDA guidelines.
Job Summary
You will ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kindergarten by performing daily cleaning tasks and supporting children’s needs as required.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum and mop classrooms, play areas, front desk, corridors, and common areas daily to maintain hygiene
- Wipe down cubbies, shelves, and tables daily to ensure cleanliness
- Clean and dust office and staff room to provide a tidy workspace
- Wipe down play mats to maintain safe play surfaces
- Wash children’s toilets daily to uphold sanitation standards
- Sanitize toys and play equipment to prevent contamination
- Distribute lunch bentos to classes daily to support meal routines
- Wash lunch utensils after lunch to maintain cleanliness
- Clean cooking lesson equipment after use to ensure readiness for next session
- Collect and clear all rubbish, including children’s lunch bento boxes, to designated collection areas daily
- Ensure the environment remains tidy and neat throughout the day
- Wash down chairs at the end of each term for deep cleaning
- Assist with children’s needs when required to support their well-being
- Perform other reasonable ad hoc duties assigned by the principal to support school operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in a cleaning role to perform duties effectively
- Experience working in a school setting to understand environment-specific needs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and children
- Ability to multitask and work independently to manage daily responsibilities
