SGX FX is seeking a commercially driven FX Liquidity Manager based in Singapore. This role will focus on developing and managing day-to-day relationships with global Liquidity Providers (LPs), optimising liquidity performance across our venue, and supporting the continued growth of our Global FX franchise.
The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Product, and senior management to ensure high-quality, competitive, and scalable liquidity provision across G10 and NDF products. The role requires strong market knowledge, commercial acumen and the ability to engage credibly with banks, nonbanks and institutional liquidity providers.
This is a relationship-led, market-facing role with a strong emphasis on liquidity optimisation, franchise growth, and market structure expertise. The prospective candidate will also have a complete understanding of the transaction lifecycle, electronic trading systems, and FX products, including spot, forward, swap, and NDF contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage strong relationships with global banks and non-bank Liquidity Providers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for LP engagement, performance review,s and commercial discussions.
- Analyse liquidity performance metrics (fill ratios, spreads, hit ratios, response times, skew behaviour) and work with LPs to optimise outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve liquidity quality, depth, and coverage across G10, E,M, and NDF products.
- Partner with Sales to support client onboarding by ensuring a competitive and appropriate liquidity setup.
- Contribute to pricing strategy discussions and venue positioning within the competitive eFX landscape.
- Maintain strong awareness of FX market structure developments, regulatory trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Support expansion initiatives, including new LP onboarding and product rollouts. Represent SGX FX in industry meetings and maintain a strong network across the London FX community.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in eFX liquidity management, FX sales, or at a bank/non-bank market maker.
- Proven experience managing or engaging with Liquidity Providers in an electronic trading environment.
- Strong understanding of FX market structure, ECNs, disclosed and non-disclosed liquidity models.
- Deep knowledge of Spot, Forwards, Swaps, and NDF products.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance LP performance and venue profitability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret liquidity and execution analytics to drive performance improvements. Familiarity with prime brokerage models, last look mechanics, skew management, and liquidity segmentation.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capability; Comfort working with data and performance metrics.
- Degree-educated (preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field).
Desirable
- Experience working within an ECN, MTF, or electronic FX venue.
- Exposure to liquidity strategy, pricing optimisation, or franchise growth initiatives. Programming or data analysis skills (Python, SQL) are advantageous but not required.
