We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Project Accountant to support our finance team in managing daily accounting functions and project-related financial activities. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in accounting within a fast-paced media/advertising environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely
- Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end closing
- Assist in maintaining full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
2. Project Support
- Track project costs and update Production Managers with details
- Ensure proper allocation of costs to respective projects
3. Billing & Collections
- Prepare and issue client invoices based on milestone billing
- Follow up on outstanding customer receipts and update AR records
- Support revenue tracking for ongoing projects
4. Expense & Vendor Management
- Verify vendor invoices (media buying, production, freelancers)
- Assist in expense tracking and cost control
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions
5. Financial Reporting Support
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules
- Support variance analysis (budget vs actual)
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
6. Compliance & AdministrativeSupport
- Assist with GST/VAT submissions and regulatory filings
- Support audit preparation and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (fresh graduates with internships may be considered)
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP is an advantage
