Job Summary
Join Ardor as a founding Design Engineer in Singapore, creating seamless UX for a versatile AI-driven cloud platform that automates complex workflows and delivers impactful outcomes across diverse domains.
Full remote role, no office required.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver user interfaces using Figma to create intuitive, user-centered designs for complex AI-driven workflows
- Develop and ship front-end components with React to implement seamless, responsive user experiences
- Apply strong design judgment and attention to detail to craft polished, high-quality product interfaces
- Navigate ambiguity and complex system requirements to iterate and refine design solutions effectively
- Collaborate within a founding team environment to drive product innovation and solve challenging UX problems
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in early-stage startup or founding team settings
- Passion for high craftsmanship and design excellence
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving product needs and chaotic environments
A few things Ardor done:
- Enterprise: spun up its own service to reach into the company's VPN-protected network, pulled the data, and stood up a Metabase instance wired to it — fully under Ardor's control. Dashboards, SQL, ad-hoc questions, plus code, infra, and support work — all now one prompt away. With a single integration a company gets a company-level AI agent that's trivial to roll out — just grant access the way you already do. And at the same time it's a personal agent for every employee, covering every domain, always in context of what, where, and how.
- PhD verifying computational chemistry papers — weeks of work collapsed into an hour
- Non-coder shipping a 3-tier production app on Kubernetes (React + FastAPI + Postgres)
- Aerospace engineer turning a napkin math model into working MATLAB code
- Guitarist learning a new song — Ardor built a chord trainer tailored to the track
- Founder needing market insights — just ran the research end-to-end
Same platform. Same agent.
Agentic systems have wild emergent effects — every new tool is a non-linear jump in what they can do.
Tools aren't the interface. Outcomes are.
Designing for a product that can solve such a wide range of tasks is the hardest — and most interesting — UX problem I can think of. I need someone who can make it feel effortless.
