1. Position Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of site activities, ensuring that all manpower, including welders and fabrication teams, operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications. This role acts as the vital link between site execution and senior management.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Manpower Coordination: Oversee the daily deployment of workers and specialized trades (e.g., welders, fabricators). Ensure attendance, punctuality, and productivity levels meet project timelines.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor on-site fabrication and structural construction activities. Ensure all work adheres to technical drawings and quality standards.
• Health & Safety (HSE): Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols. Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure all workers have the necessary PPE. In the event of an incident, lead the immediate reporting and documentation process.
• Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site. Address operational issues immediately and maintain a professional partnership with client representatives.
• Reporting & Documentation: Provide daily or weekly progress updates to management. Assist in drafting quotations or technical reports based on site assessments.
• Conflict Resolution: Manage on-site disputes or performance issues among the workforce to maintain a positive and disciplined working environment.
3. Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manpower supply, fabrication, or the structural construction industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with welding processes, structural steelwork, and reading technical blueprints.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage diverse teams and handle high-pressure situations.
• Safety Certification: Valid safety certifications required for Singapore industrial sites
• Administrative Proficiency: Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
