Job Description: Quantity Surveyor (A1 Construction Contract – Singapore)
Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with A1 construction contract requirements in Singapore.
· Monitor and analyze project costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure objectives are met within budget, quality, and regulatory standards.
· Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including the bill of quantities, specifications, and contract terms, in accordance with the guidelines for A1 contractors.
· Manage contract administration, including progress payments, variations, claims, and final accounts to ensure financial control and transparency.
· Evaluate contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring cost control measures are enforced and that work is completed on time and in compliance with contractual obligations.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, to facilitate financial reporting and audits.
· Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify completed works, and ensure adherence to contract specifications and safety standards.
· Prepare and submit final accounts for completed projects, ensuring all costs are reconciled and properly documented.
· Communicate effectively with management, contractors, and subcontractors to track contract progress, manage variations, and resolve disputes efficiently.
· Undertake any other duties as assigned from time to time to support the successful execution of A1 construction projects in Singapore.
Requirements:
· Degree / Diploma in Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
· 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working with contractors on construction projects in Singapore.
· Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work proactively within a team.
· Capable of working under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
· Familiarity with Singapore construction laws, regulations, and industry practices, particularly in large-scale A1 projects.
· Proficiency in contract management software and cost estimation tools will be an advantage.
· Experience with HDB projects will be an advantage.
