Job Descriptions

• Monitor contractors' daily activity, site progress, schedule and safety on site
• Carry out administrative works and other duties as required by QP/Superintending Officer/Consultant/Employer
• To be overall in charge of the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s) in performing their duties on site so that they can provide satisfactory supervision and to take responsibility of their work and performance.
• Monitor progress of the works on site and and report delays immediately.
• Update contractor's work progress on site and highlight the site discrepancies.
• To oversee in all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting record of works, materials, equipment at site, attending meetings, keeping minutes of meetings and discussions, assisting in the co-ordination of Contractor’s works with Consultants and any external parties like neighbouring contractors and utility companies.
• To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance to the Project specifications, construction drawings and Building Control Act and Regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimally a Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board.
• Must be registered as Resident Engineer (RE) with BCA/IES/ACES
• At least 8 years site supervisory experience in LTA/HDB projects.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Coordinating activities, resources, equipment, and information on site
2. Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objective
3. Review technical drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies and reporting them to the Project Manager
4. Preparing project proposals, timeframes, schedules, and budgets
5. Monitoring costs, progress, and quality of the project
6. Organizing project-related paperwork
7. Liaise with relevant authorities, clients, and sub-contractors on matters related to shop drawings, equipment submissions, inspections, testing, and commissioning
8. Update and report on site progress, issues, and developments to the Project Manager
9. Collaborate effectively with site teams to ensure smooth workflow and project execution
10. Communicating with clients to continuously define project objectives
11. Negotiating with contractors and suppliers.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings
• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities
• Supervise all civil and structural works, both permanent and temporary
• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work
• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures
• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structures, formwork support systems etc
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters
• To supervise the installation of instrumentation
• To supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc
• To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations
• To review the Contractor's design and supervise all works

Job Requirement:

· The RTO shall be accredited by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent.
• The RTO shall have minimum of Five (5) years engineering experience
• Required Skill(s): Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work, Time Management, Communication, Go-getter mindset
