Key Responsibilities:

• Collate annotated bibliography of Singaporean literary works that engage with science and technology as well as related themes

Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition CLIC is a research collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) that aims to develop neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning. CIRC is a dedicated molecular imaging research centre, equipped with state-of-the-art, GMP-certified facilities for the on-site production of PET and theransotics radiopharmaceuticals, as well as the development of novel molecular imaging probes. CIRC is positioned to support both academic and commercially led clinical research programs, with dedicated clinical imaging facilities area for advanced modalities of PET-CT and PET-MRI. 

We are seeking an experienced Research Fellow to manage and oversee cutting-edge research in the development of radiopharmaceuticals. In this pivotal role, you will guide a team of radiochemists and researchers, manage complex radiochemistry projects, and contribute to the advancement of innovative treatments for medical imaging and cancer therapy. You will oversee the development, optimization, and validation of radiochemical processes, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of scientific excellence within the laboratory. 

Purpose of the post 
The Research Fellow will be an essential staff leading the development of radiopharmaceuticals, including focusing on innovative strategies for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Assisting in the development of new radiochemical synthesis methods and new molecular imaging probes 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Fellow will be able to: 

•    Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of radiochemists and research scientists, manage complex radiochemistry projects, and contribute to the advancement of innovative treatments for medical imaging and cancer therapy. Able to provide technical expertise, career development, and performance management. Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment. 

•    Research & Development: Drive the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel radiopharmaceuticals, focusing on innovative strategies for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Oversee the development and optimization of radiochemical methodologies and perform routine production of radiopharmaceuticals using automated radiochemistry synthesis modules to carry out radioisotope incorporation (e.g., F-18, C-11) and radiotracer formulation. Assisting in the development of new radiochemical synthesis methods and new molecular imaging probes.
•    Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple research projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and in alignment with the company’s strategic goals. Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
•    Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including cGMP, FDA, EMA, and other relevant standards. Lead efforts for the preparation and submission of regulatory documentation for new radiopharmaceutical products and foster a culture of scientific excellence within the laboratory.
•    Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and external collaborators, to ensure successful translation of research findings to clinical applications.
•    Innovation & Process Optimization: Identify and implement new technologies, techniques, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and quality of radiopharmaceutical production. Continuously seek opportunities for innovation in radiochemistry and radiopharmaceutical manufacturing.
•    Publications & Presentations: Author and present scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and at industry conferences. Represent the company at scientific meetings, fostering relationships with key opinion leaders in the field.
•    Laboratory Management: Assist in writing of SOPs, involved in routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment; and any ad hoc duties as required for this role.
•    Budget Management: Manage the research budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Oversee the procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications

•    Education: PhD in Radiochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
•    Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in radiopharmaceutical research and development, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role.
•    Expertise: In-depth knowledge of radiochemical synthesis, purification techniques, and characterization methods for radiopharmaceuticals. Expertise in GMP practices and regulatory compliance is required.

•    Technical Skills: Proficient in radiochemical instrumentation and analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, TLC, gamma spectroscopy). Familiarity with drug development and clinical trial processes is a plus.

•    Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in radiochemical processes and product development.
•    Innovation: A passion for scientific innovation and a drive to push the boundaries of radiopharmaceutical development.

The A*STAR Skin Research Labs is seeking a Scientist with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Biotechnology to lead and support analytical research on the Digital Twin of Skin (DTS) and optical metrology of Asian skin. Skin is a remarkably complex organ, and our approach embraces this richness by decomposing it across multiple spatial and biological scales—nano, micro, and meso. At the nanoscale, this includes molecular and cellular information such as DNA, RNA, proteins, and other biochemical constituents, while higher scales capture tissue structure, optical properties, and functional responses.

The Digital Twin of Skin will integrate rigorous biophysical modeling with state-of-the-art AI methodologies into a unified framework that links mechanisms with data and prediction with interpretation. Importantly, the DTS will be explicitly tailored to address melanin-related challenges in Asian skin, including its influence on optical signatures, light–tissue interactions, and downstream diagnostic and therapeutic accuracy. By embedding melanin-aware modeling across scales, the platform aims to enable more accurate, equitable, and clinically relevant skin analytics.

This work sits at the intersection of physics, biology, and machine intelligence, and offers a rare opportunity to shape how skin health, diagnostics, and interventions are understood and developed for Asian populations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop AI and biophysics-based models across multiple biological and physical scales.

Project Introduction: This study seeks primarily to understand (a) the nature of educational pathways made by students through secondary education, (b) the drivers of the decisions made about educational pathways through secondary education (especially self-identity and agency, school and career aspirations, and social and relational contexts), (c) the stability and change patterns of educational pathways as well as factors that may be associated with change. We expect the drivers of educational pathways to be interrelated, and (d) through retrospective investigation, the factors at early childhood and primary school that contribute to educational pathways. Furthermore, this study will allow focus on educational pathways of specific subgroups to understand the differential impact of educational pathways for (e) students with special educational needs (SEN) and (f) for students from financially disadvantaged environments.
