Job Purpose:
To ensure that all traded products meet contractual specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards by overseeing inspection, testing, and quality verification processes throughout the trading value chain (pre-loading, loading, discharge, and post-delivery).
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Review and verify product specifications in sales & purchase contracts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Monitor adherence to local and international regulatory requirements.
2. Cargo Inspection & Testing
• Coordinate with independent surveyors and laboratories for sampling and testing.
• Witness cargo sampling, blending, and loading/discharge operations when required.
• Validate Certificate of Quality (COQ), Certificate of Quantity (COQ), and lab reports.
• Investigate any quality discrepancy or off-spec findings.
3. Operational Coordination
• Work closely with Trading, Operations & Shipping, and Counterparty to ensure smooth cargo execution.
• Support pre-shipment and post-discharge quality verification.
4. Claims & Dispute Support
• Assist in handling quality-related claims and dispute resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues.
• Prepare technical reports to support commercial negotiations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in quality control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Able to understand Bahasa Indonesia for document review and liaison with Indonesia counterpart
