Our team is looking for fast-moving engineers with an entrepreneurial mindset. As a Meta's Business Engineer, you will grow industries by identifying new features, products, and business opportunities and enable partner businesses to realize the full potential of those opportunities. You will produce scalable code across Facebook's platforms in collaboration with other product engineering teams. This role will allow you to execute on solving real-world business challenges through Facebook's platforms and community.

Responsibilities

• Build new products and improve existing ones in collaboration with Facebook product engineering teams to meet business needs
• Understand and apply knowledge of products, technologies and business to build solutions to solve for problems at scale
• Independently identify stakeholders and align cross functional partners towards completion of project goals
• Independently break down coding projects into tasks and partner with all applicable teams and partners
• Design and build end-to-end systems and launch-plan strategies
• Ship and launch production level code with an emphasis on long-term maintainability, in partnership with all appropriate reviewers, in manageable pieces with relevant documentation and test plans
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback while quickly actioning feedback from code reviews conducted of your code
• Build and foster relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders; share project updates and insights; influence decision-making through presentation of data-centric business topics
• Serve as a subject matter expert within Business Engineering and provide consultation on domain-level projects
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in shipping production quality code
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
• Fluent in Mandarin as the role is external facing and will need to interact with Chinese resellers and clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to open source projects, shared code repositories, and/or personal projects
• Experience with contributing to the development community (blogs, Stack Overflow, Quora, slack, etc.)
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Responsibilities:

You will manage technical interfacing, site coordination, and installation of Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems across metro stations in Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring seamless integration with rail subsystems and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the physical installation of AFC equipment on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and technical specifications
• Supervise subcontractors to maintain quality and timely completion of installation tasks
• Attend interface meetings with other system contractors to identify and resolve technical gaps between AFC and civil, power, and communication works
• Manage daily site activities, coordinating with station authorities to facilitate smooth operations and project progress

What you will do

Design dust, fume and oil mist collection systems using AutoCAD (layout, ducting, equipment selection)

Manage installation projects from engineering drawings through to site commissioning

Coordinate with site supervisors and subcontractors during installation works

Prepare technical proposals and project documentation

Support the sales team with technical scoping and customer site assessments

Troubleshoot system performance issues and recommend corrective actions

What we are looking for

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

3–10 years of experience in mechanical or M&E engineering, ideally with site exposure

Proficient in AutoCAD — you will be asked to demonstrate this at interview

Comfortable working on industrial sites (factories, cleanrooms, process plants)

Detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience in HVAC, air handling, dust control or process ventilation is a strong advantage
