Role Summary

The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale, highly critical infrastructure program spanning on‑premises, security, monitoring and ITSM platforms. The role oversees complex, multi‑phase implementation activities from design through implementation, testing, operational readiness and handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project planning and execution across infrastructure domains (compute, storage, network, security stack, Kubernetes platforms, monitoring, ITSM, backup and related tools) for a multi‑phase program.

• Use project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, or equivalent) to manage epics, user stories, tasks, RAID logs and to provide real‑time visibility of project progress and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a structured RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) register; proactively track project risks, perform impact assessment and define/drive mitigation and contingency strategies.
• Oversee change management and release planning in coordination with operations and security teams, ensuring adherence to governance, compliance and audit requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation is produced and maintained (HLD/LLD, implementation runbooks, cutover plans, test plans, configuration baselines, operational handover documents).
• Support budget tracking, forecasting and vendor effort validation in collaboration with the Project Director and PMO.
• Ensure readiness of operations teams through training, knowledge transfer and clear definition of support models, SLAs and escalation paths before handover.

Stakeholder & Communication Focus

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders along with the Project Director (CIO/CTO office, infrastructure and security heads, application owners, operations leads) to ensure alignment to strategic objectives and risk appetite.
• Prepare clear, executive‑level updates and dashboards for Steering Committee meetings, focusing on scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and decision points.
• Act as the primary coordination point between internal teams and external vendors/OEMs, ensuring expectations, timelines and responsibilities are clearly understood and agreed.
• Facilitate resolution of cross‑team issues and conflicts, escalating promptly to the Project Director or Steering Committee when necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10–15 years of proven experience managing large‑scale, mission‑critical infrastructure projects or programs in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects that span multiple technology domains such as data center infrastructure, network and security, virtualization/hypervisors, Kubernetes or container platforms, security tooling (HSM, PAM, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, DLP), monitoring/observability (e.g. Splunk, AppDynamics) and ITSM platforms (e.g. BMC Helix, OpenText).
• Strong track record in managing a broad stakeholder landscape including internal leadership, cross‑functional technical teams and multiple external vendors and partners.
• Strong ability to develop and oversee detailed project budgets, track actual costs against forecasts, optimize resource allocation, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure delivery remains within approved financial and resourcing constraints.
• Experienced using modern project management and workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent) for planning, tracking, reporting and dependency management.

IT Project Manager (Insurance Transformation)
Duration: 6 Month Renewable Contract until 18 Months

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a core insurance platform implementation, coordinating stakeholders and managing risks to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a core insurance system implementation to meet project objectives and timelines
• Coordinate and align business, technology, and vendor stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution
• Track and update project plans, actions, risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain project momentum and transparency
• Facilitate project meetings, communicate progress, and provide clear status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Support testing phases, implementation activities, and go-live preparations to ensure smooth system deployment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in IT project management, technology consulting, or transformation projects
• Prior experience in the insurance industry to understand domain-specific requirements and challenges
• Experience managing system implementation, migration, or transformation projects to deliver complex technology solutions
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills to drive collaboration and follow-ups
• Ability to maintain project momentum and work effectively under the guidance of a Project Director
• Experience in structured consulting, systems integration, or project delivery environments is advantageous

Lead and manage a portfolio of IT projects aligned with business and digital transformation goals.

Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and governance.

Develop and mentor project/program managers while driving a high-performance, accountable team culture.

Engage and influence senior stakeholders, providing transparent updates and strategic insights.

Manage budgets, resources, vendors, and ensure cost-effective delivery with strong financial control.

Mitigate risks, resolve critical issues, and drive continuous improvement, innovation, and compliance.

Responsible for providing technical leadership of multiple large scale/complex software solutions, even by extending the existing platform through custom development, customization and integration with in-house solutions and vendor solutions leading to a complete platform that caters to key business requirements.

Strong experience in working with various Payments schemes, preferably 

Payments scheme of any country, and Payments messaging formats such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and SWIFT etc.

Experience in building enterprise transaction-based system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.

Responsible for providing technical leadership of multiple large scale/complex global software solutions for payment processor platform

Conversant with various technologies, experience in transforming legacy systems to new age technologies befitting the needs of business function.

Qualifications:

10+ years experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience in Banking payment and Cross Border Clearing related projects.

Education:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from kickoff, planning, execution, go-live to final handover.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, action items, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, internal technical teams, operations teams, and management.
• Manage stakeholder expectations on project scope, timeline, risks, and changes.
• Conduct project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, track follow-ups, and ensure closure.
• Identify project risks early and escalate issues with clear updates and recommendations.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, system setup, testing, training, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.
• Monitor project scope and support change request assessment when requirements change.
• Ensure all project deliverables are properly documented, reviewed, accepted, and handed over.
• Drive project progress and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• Diploma/Degree in Project Management, IT, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience.
• Experience in IT, software, automation, system implementation, infrastructure, or operations projects is preferred.
• Familiar with project tools such as Microsoft Project, ClickUp, Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar.
• Experience in UAT, training, go-live, hypercare, or support transition will be an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certification is advantageous but not required.
