Job Description

Competencies:

⇒ Role Summary

Our client is developing an in-house Network Management System (NMS) to support their radio communications products for defence clients.

We are looking for an Application & Network Software Engineer to join the team and help build a proprietary software solution to replace existing vendor software — improving usability, configurability, and long-term product ownership.

This is an immediate requirement with a target start in June 2026.

⇒ Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a Windows-based network management application for radio communication systems.
• Build and integrate JSON-based APIs to interface between radio hardware and software applications.
• Migrate and modernise legacy API interfaces to new software architecture.
• Develop intuitive UI/UX to improve usability for end-users in operational environments.
• Support radio configuration tasks — including machine planning, multi-radio combination and deployment configuration.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on system integration and testing.
• Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and validate deliverables.
• Contribute to the evaluation and selection of development approach (open platform integration vs. inhouse build from scratch).

⇒ Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in software or network application development.
• Strong experience with Windows-based software development.
• Proficiency in JSON-based API design and integration.
• Experience with network management systems or communications software is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with radio communications protocols or defence/government systems is a plus.

Descriptions:
-Must have at least 6 years experiences in network design and implementation, network hardware configuration, network troubleshooting and network performance tuning network and system administration;

 -Must have at least 6years experiences in managing network products such as Cisco, F5, and etc;

- Must have at least 6 years experiences in administering Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems

Responsibilities:
- Must have sound knowledge of various network protocols and topologies, including LAN, WAN, switches, routers and servers;

- Should preferably have experience in managing Network Access Control (NAC) System such as ClearPass, SolarWinds, and Infoblox.

The Programmer shall be required to:

a.Administer and troubleshoot network system infrastructure;

b.Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems;

c.Perform installation and upgrading of network system and servers;

d.Perform installation of operating systems, software applications and device drivers on the Servers;

e.Perform backup and recovery of network devices and servers;

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage RFQ, NPD, NPI, FA and Product Transfer.

• Prepare requisition for order, review supplier offers, make technical bid evaluation if required.

• Liaise and coordinate with customers and other departments pertaining to project activities and order fulfilment

• Work closely with customers on audit, engineering change order

• Responsible for projects transferred from development to operations, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place to independently handle repeat sales orders.

• Monitor and manage Suppliers’ performance to meet delivery, cost and quality targets

• Identify and mitigate program risks and implement risk mitigation plans

• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to meet Key Performance Indicators and Operational deliverables.

• Lead the development of simulation test cases for the verification of process change initiatives.

• Utilize manufacturing and/or business operations experience to quickly frame the operational challenge and visualize a solution

• Support Design, Engineering activities of the day-to-day operations.

• Responsibility & coordination of the complete certification process from application to approval for products

• Creation of technical documentation, e.g. technical drawings (2D drawings and 3D models)

• Knowledge of the supplier landscape and the materials (knowledge of who can manufacture which product)

• Ensuring product compliance, enforce quality assurance protocols and standards

Skills & Qualification:

• Degree/Diploma/Higher Nitec in Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering

• Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry,. Contract manufacturing background will be at advantage

• Experience in communicating with contract manufacturers / suppliers

• Must able to analyse technical drawing/specification

• Experience in SAP system is a plus

• Strong communication and program management skills

• Able to communicate to all levels in the organization
