Job Description
The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for one Research Assistant position to study the impacts of climate change on tropical tree demography and forest dynamics, with a focus on the primary and secondary forests in Singapore. The appointment is for an initial period of one year with the possibility of contract renewal for an additional year. Successful candidates will be expected to assist with:
- field work,
- physiological trait measurements and/or
- climate change experiments on seeds and seedlings.
Qualifications
A Bachelor of Sciences in Environmental Science or Ecology. Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
Skills:
Candidate should have strong written and communication skills, experience with field work and quantitative analysis, demonstrated ability to work in a team. Experience with growing plants or working in a plant nursery environment would be highly favoured.
