Job Description

As a Design Engineer, you will report to and assisting Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Understand the project requirements and specifications. This includes the architectural, structural, and MEP designs, as well as the client's requirements for the M&E ACMV systems, that may be used for various purposes of calculations, cost estimations, design for specific results, or objectives of the company.

Description

A Field Design Engineer will be involved in evaluating the latest iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch HW/SW systems in the field from early prototype to final products. This includes very early evaluations of our prototypes and HW systems on different wireless technologies, including performance metrics creation/evolution, post processing and analysis of trace log from the field. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent major with 1-5 years relevant work experience
• Hands-on experience with end to end testing of cellular technologies that includes test plan preparation, field testing, log analysis & debugging UE issues
• Working knowledge in at least one of the wireless technology 5G NR, LTE/LTE-A, UMTS
• You have experience owning a complete functional area of an application or product with clear communication across multiple levels in the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, analytical, able to work independently
• Able to travel locally and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent major
• Deep understanding of cellular protocol stack from LTE PHY/MAC to higher layers, Call processing
• Hardworking and ambitious, able to take on obstacles in innovative ways
• Knowledge of Antenna/ RF design
• Basic scripting experience (Shell/Perl/Python/Matlab)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing ISP Algorithm into HW using Verilog, SystemVerilog and/or SystemC (High Level Synthesis)
• Verify Logic at ISP level and Digital System level
• Optimize Design for less gate count and low power consumption
• Drive ISP Design activities in close collaboration with ISP Algorithm Team

Requirements

• Minimum MSEE, or BSEE, or related/equivalent discipline
• Experience / knowledge in RTL, C/C++ programming and verification
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Results-oriented and adaptable to changes
• C++/SystemC knowledge with High Level Synthesis experience is a plus.
• Experience / knowledge in CMOS Image Sensor is a plus
