Director – Institutional Account Management

The Director – Institutional Account Managementrole supports the institutional business in delivering high-quality service to External Asset Managers (EAMs) and their underlying clients. The role focuses on account administration, transaction execution support, client servicing, onboarding coordination and day-to-day relationship management activities. The role acts as a key point of contact for the EAMs.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Service Support

• Provide proactive support to the institutional salespeople in managing relationships with External Asset Managers and their underlying clients.
• Serve as a primary contact for day-to-day client servicing requests and enquiries.
• Maintain regular communication with EAM representatives to ensure prompt resolution of operational and administrative matters.
• Support client meetings, conduct platform demonstrations and follow up on action items.

Account Opening & Client Onboarding

• Coordinate account opening, onboarding and periodic review processes for EAM-managed client accounts.
• Review account documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Compliance and Onboarding teams to facilitate timely account approvals.
• Track onboarding progress and provide status updates to the institutional salespeople and EAMs.

Transaction & Execution Support

• Assist in processing investment transactions, foreign exchange deals, cash transfers, securities subscriptions/redemptions, and corporate action instructions.
• Ensure accurate execution and booking of client instructions in accordance with internal procedures.
• Monitor pending transactions and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
• Support trade settlement and resolve transaction-related issues where required.

Operational & Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the client management systems.
• Support implementation of process improvements and service enhancement initiatives.
• Contribute to internal projects that will add value to the institutional business

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in servicing EAMs either in a brokerage or private bank setup
• Familiarity with EAM business and fintech platforms is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of wealth management products, including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, structured products, FX, and discretionary portfolio management.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large group/catering related opportunities with significant revenue potential.  Manages group/catering opportunities not handled by an Event Booking Center (EBC). Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity.  Achieves personal and team related revenue goals.  Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery.  Responsible for driving customer/guest loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer/guest experience.  Provides service to customers in order to grow the account on behalf of the company.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.

OR

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.

• Targets group/catering accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
• Partners with group/catering counterpart to effectively manage the business opportunity.
• Responds to incoming group/catering opportunities for the property that are outside parameters of the Event Booking Center.
• Handles all opportunities if property does not participate in an EBC.
• Identifies, qualifies and solicits new group/catering business to achieve personal and each property’s revenue goals.
• Focuses efforts on group/catering accounts with significant potential sales revenue.
• Develops effective group/catering sales plans and actions.
• Designs, develops and sells creative catered events.
• Maximizes revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage.
• Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
• Closes the best opportunities for each property based on market conditions and individual property needs.
• Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

Providing Exceptional Customer Service

• Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations.
• Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
• Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities.
• Supports brand’s Service and Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Provides excellent customer service in order to grow share of the account.
• Executes brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards.
• Executes and supports the business Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards. 
• Participates in and practices daily service basics of the brand.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To conduct business development functions through networks and contacts, government and corporate clients accounts engagement to expand the facilities management business
• To mobilize new contracts award and execute according to the contract specifications and requirements
• To take overall charge within the Property to manage and execute the Contract through deployment of suitably trained and qualified staff to ensure smooth day-to-day FM operations and to carry out regular servicing and Preventive Maintenance (PM) works for the Facilities and Systems, including new facilities and systems installed during the contract period and to ensure that all PM is updated
• To manage project accounts, including invoicing, profit and loss, including budgetary, projection, revenue and cost
• To submit monthly reports including business development report, Profit & Loss reports and project monthly reports
• To ensure that Quality Assurance and Quality Control for Management, Maintenance and Operation of Facilities and Systems and Site Safety Management system are put in place
• To provide assistance to Site Manager in the event of any emergency which may arise in the campus such as fire, water pipe burst, electrical outages, flooding etc including any emergency exercises conducted by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) or other government bodies
• To setup and review documentation library and Risk Assessment/standard operating procedure (SOP) yearly
• To manage and monitor all sub-contractors’ performance and maintenance services to ensure quality and workflow to be in accordance to the SOPs and procedures set up for the Property
• Collaborate effectively with various functions within Savills, including Business Development, Operations, HR, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by Head of Facilities Management.
