Responsibilities

• The Resident Architect will be in charge of architectural site staff and entire consultants' site staff team upon the SRE's end of contract
• Experience in large-scale mixed use, commercial, institutional projects
• Proven ability to manage, oversee and lead a large site staff team
• Possess a strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes and construction techniques
• Support and assist the SRE in the duties as directed by him and/or the supervising Qualified Person(s)
• Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible issues before construction work commences on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project
• Identify and resolve technical problems that may arise during construction, ensuring successful and timely project completion and handover, and to liaise with the supervising Qualified Person(s) and the relevant consultants on any design or coordination issues.
• Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings and sketches, product or system specifications, contractor's method of statements, installation and working procedures and site instructions by the supervising Qualified Person(s) and project consultants.
• Monitor project progress schedule
• Ensure proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method of statements, shop drawings, as-built submissions
• Coordinate with operators or users and contractors to facilitate the installation of fit-out works

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture from any recognized tertiary institution recognized by Board of Architects, Singapore, or Accreditation with professional bodies of equivalent standing as Board of Architects Singapore
• Possess at least 10 years of local working experience and site supervision of major building works, architectural elements, facade elements (such as curtainwall systems and aluminum cladding systems) and finishing works
• Knowledge of building and architectural details (including facade system), fit out works, working drawings and construction practice
• Knowledge of computer 3D programmes
• Conversant and familiar with Singapore Statues, Codes and Regulations

Responsibilities

• Facilitates Design Thinking or Envisioning Workshops, guiding teams to brainstorm, ideate, and solve complex design problems collaboratively. 

• Generates ideation solutions for complex products, synthesizing them into concise solutions that improve product designs. 

• Creates clarity for team members, influencing prioritization of product backlog and sprint management. 

• Design seamless, human-centered experiences for applications leveraging Artificial Intelligence, with sensitivity to Human AI Interaction Guidelines and ethical considerations. 

• Develops functional prototypes to meet specific needs, presents them for feedback, and iterates based on feedback. 

• Develops and enables front-end design solutions, technical prototypes, and user interface systems (e.g., controls, animation libraries, utilities). 

• Acts as a liaison between design and engineering, deepening knowledge of engineering fundamentals (e.g., interpreting designs, writing code, working with source control). 

• Collaborates with Engineering teams to ensure successful design implementation and quality assurance. 

• Leads design reviews to ensure code quality and creates specs to document validation efforts. 

• Oversees the versioning of tools and platforms, ensuring their adoption and interoperability across teams. 

• Ensures the use of the latest codebases and design systems, driving consistency and alignment across the team. 

• Communicates proactively with leaders, engineers, and feature teams to ensure effective communication through all design and development stages. 

• Collaborates with cross-disciplinary teams (e.g., creative, program managers, developers, UX research) to define and iterate on new and existing product features.

 Key Accountabilities for this Position Include, But Not Limited to

• Experience in leading customer workshops, uncovering opportunities, gathering requirements, and reviewing deliverables.   

• Experience in closely working with Developers using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Figma and other software development environments.  

• Experience designing AI-powered applications UX design acceleration, Vibe Prototyping, including familiarity with Human AI Interaction Guidelines.

• Experience in designing and prototyping user interfaces within technical constraints while leveraging and maximizing technical features.   

• Experience with all stages of product development - concept, wireframes, design iterations, production and quality assurance.  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, and 10+ years of experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security). 

• OR, Master’s Degree in a related field with equivalent experience. 

• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English and Mandarin for specific work‑related interactions or documentation, where required. 

• Expertise in Product Design, User Interface, User Experience and Human AI interaction: Specialized knowledge in designing user-centric products and interfaces in the world of AI driven applications. 

• Strong Communication, Observation, and Empathy: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and understand user needs and behaviors. 

• Cross-Cultural Expertise: Experience working in diverse environments, with a strong understanding of different design perspectives. 

• Proficiency in Agile Methodologies: Skilled in agile project management and iterative design processes. 

• Appreciation for Simplicity and Elegance in Design: Influenced by Japanese design principles, focusing on creating relaxed and comfortable user experiences. 

• Ability to work outside Singapore in regions such as China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Australia, with travel and remote work capability as required. 

• 5+ years managing multiple projects. 

• 5+ years of experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams. 

Preferred Qualifications
