About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Security Engineer / Architect to help secure our systems, data, and funds across our infrastructure.

You’ll work closely with IT, Infra, R&D, Web3, Product, and business teams to design practical security controls, lead security projects end-to-end, run offensive security exercises, and support ongoing security initiatives. This is a role for someone who is comfortable going from high-level architecture to very concrete implementation details and automation.

Responsibilities

Core Security Engineering

• Design and implement security controls to protect sensitive data, financial assets, and critical systems, ensuring integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
• Evaluate, recommend, and lead the implementation of security solutions (tools, platforms, processes) in a hands-on manner.

Automation & Security Engineering

• Build and maintain security automation: scripts, playbooks, and pipelines that reduce manual toil (e.g., auto-enrichment of alerts, automated checks in CI/CD, policy-as-code).
• Integrate and tune SAST/DAST/SCA, IaC scanning, image scanning, and secrets scanning into CI/CD to catch issues early with minimal noise.
• Implement detection-as-code (e.g., for SIEM / logging platforms) and continuously refine alerts based on real incidents and red team learnings.

Policy, Operations & Collaboration

• Develop, refine, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures, with a strong focus on data, funds, and access security.
• Contribute to day-to-day security operations and monitoring, including reviewing alerts, supporting incident response, and improving detection & response capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (IT, HR, Infra, R&D, Product, Trading, and other teams) to align security initiatives with business goals and product roadmaps.

Background & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record designing and implementing security solutions, frameworks, and policies.

Introduction to the role:

As they embark on global transaction services transformation, the Singapore-based regional team of one of the largest American retail banks, is looking to expand their team of Business Analysts.

The Business Analyst is responsible for documenting business and functional requirements, including file mappings, process and data flows, business logic and rules, and use cases/ stories and support delivery of migration based projects predominantly in the payments domain (SEPA, ISO formats and instant payment related standards) on global platforms.

The Position:

• Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
• Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application.
• Acts as the subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions related to Real Time Payments (SEPA, Faster Payments etc.)
• Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies.
• Liaises with business partners to build the business requirement documents and coordinate approval and concurrence. Document and review HLD and hold good knowledge on NFR.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
• Work on enhancement projects that improve the operational landscape for the Global Transaction Services, as well as internal company projects that enhance Straight Through Processing
• The candidate should be comfortable in an environment with mixed delivery methodologies depending on the project (Agile, Waterfall) and able to adapt to new technologies, products, and processes quickly.
• Document business and functional requirements, including process and data flows, business logic and rules, and use cases/ stories.
• Support executive requests for reports etc.
• Liaise with global project teams consisting of business sponsors, developers, designers and testers.
• Manage deliverables and priorities with management and business stakeholders
• Coordinate and conduct testing cycles; acceptance criteria, unit testing, QA and user acceptance testing.
• Support production delivery rollouts during releases

The Candidate:

• Strong Business Analyst experience in Global Payments and Core banking
• Experience with instant payments projects
• Expertise with SEPA and ISO formats
• Very strong communication skills – speak confidently on a global platform
• Excellent presentation and documentation skills ; having the ability to explain solutions and approach
• Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously and independently in fast paced environment.
• Excellent technical and analytical skills; Analyze existing capabilities and identify priority gaps and opportunities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence Tools.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Dive deep into data to align with business objectives, recommending novel, data-driven solutions, including AI/ML strategies, to address key customer challenges.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have at least 4 years of experience in data-related or quantitative fields such as Analytics, Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
• You are fluent with SQL, Python, R or other scripting/programming languages.
• You are experienced in handling large datasets and maintaining complex Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
• You have solid statistical knowledge and hands-on experience running and analysing controlled experiments.
• You are proficient in creating dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI or other visualisation tools.
