About Role:

Proarch is seeking a skilled Sr AI Developer with experience in building scalable, end-to-end applications and integrating AI-driven capabilities using OpenAI technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), and modern search/retrieval systems, along with the ability to design and deliver intelligent applications such as chatbots and LLM-powered solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to build high-performance, secure, and scalable enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with programming languages such as Python and C#/.NET
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI (GPT-class models) and optional multi-model support
• Familiarity with search and vector databases including Azure AI Search, pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus
• Experience with orchestration frameworks like Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or LlamaIndex (or similar custom orchestration)
• Knowledge of storage solutions such as Azure Blob Storage/ADLS, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB
• Experience working with compute services like Azure App Service, Functions, or AKS
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code tools like Bicep or Terraform
• Strong understanding of observability practices including Application Insights/OpenTelemetry, dashboards, and distributed tracing

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (or equivalent).
• Strong proficiency in Python, C#/.NET with hands-on experience building scalable backend services.
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions, including integration of AI-driven capabilities using OpenAI technologies.
• LLM-powered applications (chatbots, summarization, Q&A systems, agentic workflows)
• Search and retrieval systems (BM25, vector search, hybrid search)
• Embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search pipelines
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including production operations.
• Data structures, API design, system design, testing methodologies, and security best practices
• Ability to communicate effectively, document technical designs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of BI solutions, making independent technical decisions and clearly communicating trade-offs to stakeholders
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets aligned with business needs
• Build and optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL pipelines (SSIS/SSRS) to support reporting
• Define and enforce best practices in data modelling, DAX, and performance optimization
• Lead end-to-end BI delivery from requirements gathering to deployment and user adoption
• Ensure data quality, security, compliance, and proper documentation across all deliverables
• Drive innovation through cloud initiatives and AI/ML-enabled solutions to enhance analytics and insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders, ensure data quality, security, compliance, and maintain proper documentation

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft BI tools, including Power BI (Desktop, Service, Report Server)
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI features such as RLS, incremental refresh, and deployment pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL, including complex query optimization, and experience with SSRS and SSIS
• Experience with .NET (preferably C#) for BI integrations and data workflow development
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), with tools like JIRA and Control-M
• Familiarity with AWS data services and solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, tools, and practical application opportunities
• Required Certificates like Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) & AI / ML Fundamentals (any recognized certification)
