• Organize/lead/participate in mandatory/corporate audits e.g. SS651, insurance audit, etc.

• Lead/support investigations to identify root causes and contributing factors using methodologies like RCA (Root Cause Analysis), Fishbone, etc.

• Assist SHE Manager to review quarterly legal updates, analyze applicability and ensure compliance

• Other tasks related to the role of safety analyst assigned by the SHE Manager

• Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends

• Manage basic aspects of the data management system which includes developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes

• Ensure timely submission, carry out trend analysis and consolidation of KPIs to Vopak division 

• Update and maintain VTS SHE department information databases 

• Conduct trending and analysis of data from audit and incident investigation reports to develop benchmarks, identify uncertainties and safety issues and assist decision makers in prioritizing these issues 

• Keep abreast of market trend developments and scout suitable digital safety tools to support safe and reliable terminal operations

• Lead inter-terminal and cross department initiatives to streamline efforts to drive improvement in safety and operational performance

• Assist SHE manager to develop, implement, maintain and review corporate and divisional operation excellence strategies and policies

• Assist SHE Manager to carry out operational due diligence

• Assist SHE Manager to verify terminals compliance with corporate and divisional minimum standards

• Provide training pertaining to SHEQ & PSM

• Provide support and guidance to VTS terminals to improve operational and SHE performance         

• Assist terminals to conduct major hazard risk assessment

• Assist terminal in safety case submission, ongoing verification relating to safety case and updates

• Provide support in area of behaviour based safety

• Conduct inter audits in VTS terminals on safety process compliance e.g. ePTW, eMOC, etc.

• Assist terminals to track and ensure on time completion of action plans deriving from inspections/incidents, etc.

• Develop personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities, while also coaching others as required

• Build and maintain good relations between terminals & departments for mutual assistance and facilitate sharing of experiences and information

• Assist SHE Manager to keep abreast and monitor regulatory changes and requirement

• Assist SHEQ/Operations Manager to keep abreast on industry innovations

• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct through analysis of financial statements of new and existing counterparties for creditworthiness evaluation.
• Prepare detailed profile reports covering company background, operations, financial status, performance, and market reputation.
• Provide recommendation based on the analysis for credit decision-making.
• Continuously monitor credit exposure and identify early warning signs of potential defaults or breaches.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting key risks, trends, and actions required.
• Develop and prepare spreadsheets and models to support analysis of new and existing credit applications.
• Assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks, ensuring that the company operates within its established risk tolerance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the oil and gas, commodities, or financial services sectors.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk analysis, and financial modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of trade finance and hedging structures within the commodity trading industry is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• A proactive and results-driven mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work to achieve objectives and deliver results with a short term, operational focus.
• Carry out investigation of user reported issues, formulate and agree terms of reference.
• To prepare user requirement specifications for the issues that requires application development resources.
• To prepare Test Plan, perform testing on the application, manage/monitor UAT to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• To manage and plan out assigned project or enhancement timeline.
• Able to communicate and manage vendor & solution team to ensure a smooth delivery of project and enhancements on time.
• Explain facts, practices, and policies to others within the department.
• Gather user requirements, and conduct feasibility study.
• Escalate problems/issues to respective team leader.
• Check problems in existing systems or processes.
• Raise data extraction requests in order to identify possible causes of the issues.
• Work with system team to produce Issue Analysis report to users and software and to recommend solutions, where applicable.

REQUIREMENT:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Business Analyst role
• Good to have insurance domain exposure/experience.
• Have knowledge and experience in SDLC cycle and implementation.
• Experience with Java and other internet technologies will be advantageous.
• Good analytical and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possess good working attitude and self-motivated to learn. Able to get along with everyone, maintaining good relationships at all levels from senior management to junior staff.
• Good organization skills with sound time management.
