Position Summary:
Weidmuller is seeking a dynamic and results-driven candidate to expand our footprint in the following industry/segments:
- Factory Automation (FA)
- Energy Segment – Switchgears / Substations projects
- Building Management System (BMS) – local consultants, contractors / system integrators and panel builders
The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and promoting Weidmuller’s solutions — including connectivity, automation, and Industrial IoT products — to OEMs, panel builders, system integrators, and end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Development-
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the related industries
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Customer Engagement-
- Build and maintain relationships with panel builders, system integrators, and consultants.
- Conduct technical presentations to promote Weidmuller solutions.
- Provide pre-sales and application support, coordinating with technical teams as needed.
Sales Strategy Execution-
- Develop and execute account development plans aligned with regional growth objectives.
- Work closely with the distributors / Partners to drive indirect sales.
- Monitor and report sales pipeline activity against targets.
Product & Solution Promotion-
- Actively promote Weidmuller’s automation and connectivity portfolio, including terminal blocks, relays, power supplies, Industrial Ethernet, signal conditioners, and cabinet solutions.
- Collaborate with product management to position new solutions effectively in the market.
Cross-functional Collaboration-
- Work with internal departments (eg. marketing, product management, customer service) to ensure alignment of strategies and execution.
- Provide customer feedback to influence product development and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, panel building, or related field.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, panel assembly practices, and related components.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Existing network in the panel builder or system integrator community.
- Existing network in local EPC or government tender or project pursue is a plus.
