• Assisting the Site Finance Manager, Malaysia with a range of duties at manager's discretion. There will also ultimately be a ‘maternity leave’ cover aspect to this role, but that will not be in the initial few months.

• Helping with the London ‘Group’ team on a range of inter-company accounting clean-up projects, which will include mainly: a) helping with implementing the D365 automated matching functionality, b) reconciling aged balances, and c) settling / matching aged balances to stop them continuing to ‘build up’.

• Depending on timings and workload, support may also be given to the Group D365 Systems Manager on continuing to implement functionality in several APAC countries such as in China and in Taiwan.

• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally working in a larger international business with exposure to group reporting and multi-currency transactions.

• Ideally either a Qualified Accountant (CA or equivalent), or local accountancy university equivalent or studying for accounting exams.
• Exceptional business sense thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication.
• Experience using Microsoft D365 will be an advantage.
• High proficiency in both English and Mandarin (fluency in reading and speaking is required to communicate with other region Chinese entities). This is a MUST

We’re looking for a Lead Generalist Programmer to help drive technical delivery across a range of game development engagements. This role is for a senior engineer who is equally comfortable leading people, collaborating with clients, and getting hands-on in code. You should bring strong technical depth in both Unity and Unreal, experience guiding teams through production, and the judgment to move between gameplay systems, tools, optimization, and platform-specific problem solving as projects demand.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor engineers across active co-development and game development projects
• Act as a senior technical partner to production, design, art, and client stakeholders
• Contribute hands-on to implementation in Unity and Unreal, depending on project needs
• Architect and review systems across gameplay, tools, UI, integration, optimization, and platform support
• Establish engineering best practices for code quality, performance, maintainability, and delivery
• Help scope work, identify technical risk early, and provide realistic production recommendations
• Support hiring, onboarding, and growth of engineering talent within the team
• Communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Partner with internal leadership and external clients to align technical execution with project goals

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional game programming experience
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a production environment
• Strong hands-on development experience in both Unity and Unreal Engine
• Strong coding skills in C# and C++
• Experience shipping games or major features on at least one of the following: PC, console, or mobile
• Deep understanding of game architecture, pipelines, debugging, profiling, and optimization
• Ability to work across multiple gameplay-adjacent domains such as gameplay systems, UI, animation systems, tooling, or integration
• Strong understanding of technical risk, production tradeoffs, and scalable engineering practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients, partners, and cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience in a co-development, outsourcing, or service-based studio environment
• Experience with console development and certification constraints
• Familiarity with backend or online systems integration
• Experience building internal tools and workflows for designers, artists, or production teams

About the role 

Side is currently recruiting a Localization specialist (English to Japanese) for our global translation operation. We're looking for candidates with advanced language skills and in-depth cultural knowledge.

You will be responsible for correctly translating video game content and acting as an interpreter to change other associated text into English to Japanese. You will follow product-specific guidelines to ensure the maximum linguist quality and adherence to all relevant conventions. You will be working as part of a team of language specialists to produce high-quality translations, either by translating yourself or reviewing documentation.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Create or helps create glossaries and style guides following pre-defined guidelines from the client.
• Create or helps create characterisation documents
• Carry out translation work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology.
• Carry out revision work following provided guidelines and instructions, including First Party terminology
• Work as part of a larger team of translators or revisers
• Provide linguistic feedback for work carried out externally.
• All work is carried out by meeting the outlined deadlines and industry-standard productivity figures.

Requirements 

• Native level Japanese
• Fluent level English (TOEIC 800)
• Born and raised in an english speaking environment
• Experience within the translation, prefferably in Manga or gaming industry.
• Knowledge translation tools (e.g.memoQ,) is a plus.
• Be proactive with clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and stay focused.
• Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Sound research and translation judgment skills, and have self-motivation, adaptability, and professionalism.
