Job Responsibilities
- Cold calling and lead generation to source for new residential and commercial carpentry / renovation projects.
- Meet potential clients, understand their renovation requirements, space usage, design preferences, budget, and timeline.
- Prepare sales quotations and proposals for carpentry works such as kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, feature walls, TV consoles, office cabinets, customised furniture, and other built-in works.
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, site supervisors, carpenters, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure client requirements are properly communicated and fulfilled.
- Conduct site visits and measurements where necessary to assess project requirements and provide practical recommendations.
- Follow up with leads and existing clients to close sales, maintain relationships, and secure repeat business or referrals.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, project scope, and delivery timelines with clients while protecting the company’s profit margin.
- Monitor project progress after sales confirmation and assist in resolving client concerns, variation orders, or after-sales issues.
- Maintain accurate sales records, client information, quotations, contracts, and project updates.
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets set by the company.
- Keep up to date with market trends, renovation styles, material options, carpentry finishes, and competitor pricing in Singapore.
Job Requirements
Sales-driven and target-oriented, with the ability to generate leads, follow up consistently, and close deals.
Good knowledge of carpentry, renovation, interior fitting-out, built-in furniture, or related construction works will be an advantage.
Able to understand basic floor plans, measurements, site conditions, and customer requirements.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain product details, pricing, timelines, and work scope clearly to clients.
Able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, carpenters, designers, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Responsible, organised, and able to manage multiple client enquiries and projects at the same time.
Must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays when required, especially for client meetings, site visits, or project handovers.
Possess good customer service attitude and able to handle client feedback professionally.
Prior experience in carpentry sales, renovation sales, interior design sales, furniture sales, or construction-related sales is preferred.
Possess own transport will be an advantage due to the need for site visits and client meetings.
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced SME environment.
