The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall management, performance, profitability, and sustainability of SWiZ Technologies. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the GM serves as the operational leader of the company and is accountable for ensuring that all business functions operate effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and strategic objectives.
The GM will oversee all departments, managers, and overseas operations, ensuring alignment across the organization while driving business growth, operational excellence, service quality, and financial performance.
The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, governance oversight, and the ability to transform strategic direction into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & Profitability
- Lead the company towards sustainable growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute business plans aligned with the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.
- Monitor company performance against revenue, profitability, operational, and service objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments.
- Ensure resources areallocated effectively to maximize business outcomes.
2. Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Drive growth of existing services and business offerings.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen, improve, and expand current service portfolios.
- Evaluate market trends, customer requirements, and industry developments.
- Work with department heads to develop new services and business initiatives.
- Build strategic partnerships that contribute to business growth.
- Support long-term business sustainability and competitive positioning.
3. Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations across all business functions.
- Ensure all departments operate efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate activities between technical and non-technical teams.
- Ensure operational consistency across Singapore and overseas operations.
- Resolve operational challenges and remove organizational bottlenecks.
- Drive continual improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
4. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies.
- Maintain strong corporate governance practices across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and information security requirements.
- Oversee risk management activities and business continuity planning.
- Ensure audit findings, compliance requirements, and management actions are properly addressed.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and ethical conduct.
5. Process, SOP & Quality Management
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve company-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all critical business processes are documented and regularly reviewed.
- Oversee both technical and non-technical process frameworks.
- Ensure consistency in service delivery and operational execution.
- Drive process standardization and operational maturity across the organization.
- Promote continual improvement and quality management practices.
6. Leadership & People Management
- Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to all managers.
- Act as the primary reporting line for: Operations Manager | Technical Managers | Business Development Managers Administrative Managers | Overseas Managers | Any future departmental heads
- Ensure managers are aligned with company goals and performance expectations.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, ownership, and results.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
7. Overseas Operations Management
- Oversee all overseas personnel, managers, and operational functions.
- Ensure overseas operations remain aligned with company objectives and standards.
- Establish effective communication and reporting structures between overseas teams and Singapore headquarters.
- Monitor overseas performance, service quality, compliance, and resource utilization.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies and procedures across all locations.
8. Financial Oversight
- Manage company budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, cash flow, and operational expenditures.
- Ensure financial discipline throughout the organization.
- Review financial reports and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Work with theDirectors and finance function on budgeting and strategic planning.
9. Reporting & Board Engagement
- Report directly to the Board of Directors.
- Translate Board directives into operational plans and execution strategies.
- Provide regular updates on business performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Present recommendations to support informed decision-making by the Board.
- Escalate significant operational, financial, or compliance matters when required.
Authority
The General Manager is authorized to:
- Direct and manage all operational activities of the company.
- Issue operational directives to managers and department heads.
- Approve operational improvements and process changes within delegated authority.
- Recommend strategic initiatives, investments, and organizational changes to the Board.
- Represent the company in business discussions, partnerships, and operational matters as delegated by the Board.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across technical and non-technical functions.
- Strong commercial, operational, and financial management capabilities.
- Experience managing distributed or overseas teams.
- Demonstrated track record in business growth, profitability improvement, and operational transformation.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, compliance, and business continuity practices.
- Experience within Managed Services, Technology Services, Cybersecurity, Consulting, or related industries will be advantageous.
