Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance Operations & Equipment Reliability

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily plant maintenance operations to ensure high equipment availability and minimal production downtime.
• Lead and supervise maintenance activities for processing equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes conveyors, compressors, heat exchangers, and packaging machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement and predictive maintenance initiatives.

Utilities & Plant Infrastructure

• Coordinate with utilities and production teams to maintain stable plant operations.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Team Leadership & Resource Planning

Projects & Continuous Improvement

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Requirements

The Asst/Section ME Manager is the “site technology leader” of Jabil’s SMT/PCBA manufacturing processes and systems, which is designed to deliver superior performance and operational efficiency. This role supports Operation’s business development effort with current and potential customers, and development / implementation of both site a global ME/IE strategies. Responsible for the establishment of optional manufacturing methods and processes for the organization’s SMT/PCBA production lines. Lead and motivate a group of Engineers whose primary responsibility is to define and implement complete manufacturing processes. Provides ongoing review of the effective utilization of equipment, production methods, equipment layout, personnel, and material flow. Provide exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Retention:

· Recruit, interview and hire Industrial Engineers, Process, Manufacturing and Project Engineers.

· Communicate criteria to recruiters for Industrial Engineers, Process, Manufacturing and Project Engineer position candidates.

· Coach Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Process Engineering staff in the interviewing/hiring process.

· Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Extensive hands-on experience in SMT and PCBA Manufacturing Engineering with 7–10 years of progressive experience in electronics manufacturing environments. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of end-to-end SMT/PCBA processes including stencil printing, solder paste inspection (SPI), pick-and-place operations, reflow profiling, automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray inspection, selective/wave soldering, conformal coating, and final assembly integration. Proven capability in process optimization, yield improvement, defect reduction, and implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong background in manufacturing process development, new product introduction (NPI), line setup, process characterization, and root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, and FMEA. Experienced in developing work instructions, process documentation, manufacturing standards, and training programs to support production scalability and operational excellence.

Proven track record in cross-functional leadership, effective communication, and stakeholder management, with the ability to lead engineering teams, collaborate with quality, operations, and supply chain functions, and drive strategic initiatives. Demonstrated strengths in business analysis, production planning support, change management, and manufacturing administration, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.

Experience supervising technical teams or leading engineering initiatives, typically with 2–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, mentoring engineers and technicians while driving accountability, safety, and performance improvements.
