Key Responsibilities:
• Define and implement the company’s global legal compliance framework, ensuring all
operations align with local regulations and international legal standards across multiple
regions.
• Design, refine, and manage a comprehensive global contract system, including the
development of standardized legal templates; oversee the drafting and review of high
stakes commercial agreements, investment documents, and other complex legal
instruments; build and maintain a proactive global legal risk management structure.
• Lead the resolution of significant legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration, on
behalf of the company; offer direct legal support and strategic guidance during major
negotiations, M&A transactions, financing activities, and other critical business initiatives
to protect corporate interests.
• Deliver strategic, forward-thinking legal counsel to senior leadership and business units;
proactively identify, assess, and communicate potential legal and compliance risks inherent
in global operations.
• Supervise and mentor the global legal team, including professionals based in Singapore
and other international offices; coordinate and manage relationships with external counsel
and legal advisors to ensure optimal support.
• Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments in key markets; build and maintain
a centralized global legal information repository to inform and guide business strategy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or higher in Law (e.g., LL.M., J.D.) from a prestigious university, or
possess a foreign legal degree.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a top-tier law firm and/or the legal department of
a multinational corporation, including at least 5 years in a management role (e.g., Legal
Director, Senior Legal Counsel). • Proficient in corporate law, contract law, foreign investment, data privacy, intellectual
property, and dispute resolution. Possess extensive experience and a successful track record
in handling cross-border transactions, compliance projects, and complex legal disputes.
• Excellent bilingual communication (Chinese & English), negotiation, and drafting skills,
with the ability to use English as the primary working language. Strong leadership, cross
cultural collaboration skills, and the ability to clearly articulate complex legal issues to
senior executives.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and risk judgment. Proactive, detail-oriented,
responsible, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced international environment.
