The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, commissioning, and technical support of advanced laser processing machines and industrial automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for laser processing machines and industrial automation equipment.
• Prepare electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, terminal drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Develop, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and motion control programs for machine automation.
• Configure and integrate servo motors, linear motors, motion controllers, VFDs, sensors, safety devices, and industrial communication networks.
• Integrate industrial robots, machine vision systems, barcode readers, and peripheral automation equipment into laser production lines.
• Perform electrical wiring verification, machine testing, debugging, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and machine commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation, and control system issues during machine assembly, installation, and customer support.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, Production, and Service teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet customer specifications.
• Ensure all machine designs comply with electrical safety regulations and relevant international standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, operating manuals, and commissioning reports.
• Provide technical training and after-sales engineering support to customers and service engineers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Travel locally and internationally for machine installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support when required.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in industrial automation, machine building, or manufacturing equipment. Fresh graduates with strong automation project experience are encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience in PLC programming using platforms
• Experience developing HMI applications and machine control software.
• Strong knowledge of motion control systems, including servo motors, linear motors, multi-axis synchronization, and positioning systems.
• Experience designing electrical control panels and preparing electrical documentation using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent CAD software.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and CANopen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer Delivery Orders (DO), invoices, and credit notes.
• Verify that goods loaded onto delivery vehicles match the corresponding Delivery Orders.

About the role

As a Project Supervisor (M&E) at Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of mechanical and electrical (M&E) construction projects at our Penang-based worksites. This full-time position requires strong leadership, technical expertise and a commitment to ensuring the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and coordinate the work of M&E construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (C&S / M&E) to join the dynamic team at Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn Bhd in Penang. You will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates, budgeting, and cost control.

What you'll be doing

• BQ and quotation for the project.
• Source more quality Subcon and suppliers.
• Update supplier and Subcon's latest costing.
• Site visit and update project progress for each project.
• Coordinate and liaise with suppliers or Subcon for pricing samples, etc.
• Ability to source for supplies and quotation for tendering.
• Evaluation of price comparison and costing summary.
• Taking off quantities for tender.
• To assist in tender documentation/cost tabulation.
• Prepare tender and contract documentation including collection and checking for completeness of documents.
• Provide support in any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time.

What we're looking for

• Possess at least a Certificate/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Has excellent communication and good negotiation skills, revised cost & quotation if/when required.
• Background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.
