PROJECT SUPERVISOR (M&E)

About the role

As a Project Supervisor (M&E) at Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of mechanical and electrical (M&E) construction projects at our Penang-based worksites. This full-time position requires strong leadership, technical expertise and a commitment to ensuring the successful delivery of complex construction projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and coordinate the work of M&E construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols
2. Liaise with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues
3. Monitor work progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
4. Ensure the quality of M&E installations and finishes meet the required standards
5. Conduct site inspections, manage material inventory, and oversee the maintenance of tools and equipment
6. Provide technical guidance and support to construction crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a site supervisor or foreman in the construction industry, with a focus on M&E projects
2. Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting
3. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
5. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
6. Proficiency in using construction management software and tools
7. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed
