ABOUT WECRAFT GROUP
WeCraft Group is a boutique, multi-disciplinary design house working across architecture, interior design, product and furniture design, project management and innovation consulting, headquartered in Singapore. Our work spans high-end residential, hospitality, yacht interiors, lifestyle retail, restaurant and bar design, and bespoke product design. We are dedicated to transforming inventive ideas into high-quality, functional environments, realised through a global network of exceptional artisans, fabricators and collaborators.
OUR VISION
“We create environments of stellar quality, guiding the manifestation of dreams through inventive craftsmanship, supported by a global network of exceptional artisans, fabricators and collaborators.”
ROLE OVERVIEW
WeCraft is rebuilding its design bench, and this is the anchor architectural hire. We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer who can both lead design and technical authorship and act as Project Architect on site — taking architectural delivery off the founders across the studio’s live and upcoming projects. You will work closely with, and to the architectural direction of, the Principal Architect, interpreting and extending WeCraft’s design language and design standards while exercising sound independent judgement.
You will lead architectural documentation from concept through construction, set and uphold the studio’s drawing and BIM standards, coordinate consultants, and — critically — go to site to check built work against the drawings, resolve construction queries and protect design integrity through implementation. You will be the senior point of architectural quality in Singapore and a mentor to our growing offshore technical-design bench.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
— Lead the architectural and interior-architectural documentation of projects from concept and design development through construction-ready and for-fabrication sets, to WeCraft’s drawing and quality standards.
— Act as Project Architect on site: conduct site visits and inspections, check build quality and workmanship against the design drawings, resolve site queries, and safeguard design integrity through construction.
— Own multi-consultant coordination (MEP, C&S and specialists) and resolve complex constructability and code questions.
— Liaise with authorities and Qualified Persons on submissions and approvals (BCA, URA, SCDF as applicable).
— Set, document and enforce studio BIM, drawing and file-management standards across the Singapore and offshore teams.
— Direct and review the work of the offshore Technical Designers, raising overall throughput and quality.
— Prepare and present design and technical proposals to clients; gather, interpret and integrate feedback.
— Mentor designers and contribute to studio culture, standards and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
— Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; registered/licensed architect an advantage.
— Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including high-end custom residential and ideally hospitality / lifestyle retail.
— Deep DD and CD experience with thorough command of For Construction / For Fabrication sets and bespoke detailing.
— Proven construction-administration / site experience — able to read built work against drawings and hold quality on site.
— Sound knowledge of Singapore building codes and the submission landscape (BCA, URA, SCDF) and of consultant coordination.
— Proven ability to set standards, supervise teams (including remote staff) and uphold quality.
— Eligible to work in Singapore (Citizen / PR, or eligible for a valid work pass).
TECHNICAL & SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY
Expert in Revit (able to set and maintain BIM and documentation standards), with Rhino, Enscape / V-Ray, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. SketchUp and ArchiCAD exposure welcome.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 6–12 MONTHS)
— Sets and upholds the technical and design quality bar across multiple live projects with minimal founder rework.
— Trusted to lead consultant and authority coordination and to sign off documentation.
— Built a dependable site-coordination rhythm that protects design intent through construction.
— Visibly raises the capability of the offshore technical bench through direction and standards.
COMPENSATION
SGD 6,000 – 8,000 per month, commensurate with experience and portfolio, plus a discretionary performance bonus subject to individual and company performance.
The full benefits and overall compensation package is discussed with the selected candidate.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Beyond technical skill, we hire for attitude. The people who thrive at WeCraft are:
— Hungry — driven, proactive and eager to grow; you take ownership and push work forward rather than wait to be told.
— Strong problem-solvers — resourceful and resilient, working through design and technical challenges to propose practical solutions.
— Team players — collaborative, communicative and generous, strengthening studio culture across our Singapore, Philippines and wider international teams.
WHY JOIN US
This is the anchor design role as WeCraft rebuilds its team — genuine ownership of architectural delivery across world-class bespoke projects, working directly with the founding principals, with the standing to shape the studio’s standards and lead a growing international bench. We are a team-oriented, collegial studio — straightforward and free of office politics, where good people get on with excellent work — and there is a clear path to grow as the team scales.
