Qualifications and Skills:

Key Responsibilities

1. End‑to‑End System Architecture

• Define and maintain the architectural vision for systems, ensuring that detailed designs and implementation work adhere to established enterprise architecture principles.
• Provide oversight and direction throughout the SDLC to maintain architectural consistency and technical quality.

2. Requirements Translation &Technical Specifications

• Analyse business requirements— including performance, scalability, and resiliency needs— and convert them into clear architectural specifications and design artefacts.
• Ensure that architecture decisions support both functional and non‑functional needs.

3. Technology Advisory & SolutionRecommendations

• Recommend suitable platforms, tools, and technologies that align with enterprise standards, cloud strategies, legacy modernisation goals, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate new technologies to support digital transformation and advise on adoption suitability (e.g., cloud-native architectures, APIs, containers, SG Tech Stack components).

4. Architecture Blueprinting &Governance

• Design holistic architecture blueprints covering business processes, data flows, application components, and infrastructure models.
• Govern architectural compliance and continuously evolve the blueprint to maintain alignment between business goals and ICT strategies.

5. Technical Review & QualityAssurance

• Participate in solution reviews, code inspections, and technical assessments as part of the development lifecycle.
• Identify architectural risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure that designs are robust, secure, and scalable.

6. Collaboration & StakeholderEngagement

• Work directly with technical leads, engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure that architectural decisions are understood and properly implemented.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts and influence decision‑makers through structured reasoning and strong presentation skills.
• Support teams in navigating complex technical challenges and ensuring smooth project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Leadership

• Experience serving as a system architect or technical lead, managing system design, prototyping, performance optimisation, and system maintenance.
• Strong hands‑on understanding of end‑to‑end project development cycles.

Core Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in designing and implementing applications using .NET and/or Java (J2EE) technologies.
• Solid understanding of server‑side development, SOA principles, microservices, integration patterns, and web‑based service development.
• Strong data modelling capabilities and advanced SQL knowledge.
• Ability to perform technology evaluations and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise direction.

Solution Engineering

• Able to analyse complex requirements and propose solutions that are technically sound, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Skilled in balancing functional demands with architectural constraints to deliver practical and effective designs.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Degree or Diploma in any discipline, with supporting hands‑on experience in software architecture, design, and development.

Preferred

• Experience in enterprise architecture, cloud-based designs, legacy modernisation, and working with government architecture standards (e.g., SG Tech Stack).
• Practical experience in large‑scale system design and integration efforts.

Job Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Computing/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Info Systems / EEE / Information Technology or equivalent
At least 2 years of working experience in the related field
Experience with full-stack development and software engineering best practices such as test-driven development, and continuous integration
Experience with Git and modern branching workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based development).
Experience with software development life cycle, agile development methodology and DevSecOps
Proficiency in Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, Spring Boot, Angular.js, Vue.js, Next.js, Express.js, Svelte, FastAPI and other common frameworks to develop software for various platform.
Strong programming skills and verifiable mastery of at least one of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++ amiliar with UI component libraries such as Material-UI, Tailwind CSS, or Bootstrap.
Proficiency in designing and maintaining scalable SQL/no-SQL databases such as MSSQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
Familiar with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, and WebSockets for service communication
Familiar with deployment workflows, CI/CD, Cloud-native architecture, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
Proficiency in Ruby and Golang backend has an advantage (Good to have)

Job Description

9. Conduct thorough analysis of total addressable markets (TAM) and segment-specific growth projections (CAGR).
10. Report on relevant market trends and competitive landscapes across various sectors.
11. Deliver clear financial projections encompassing revenue, costs, and expected profit margins over a three-year horizon.
12. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Development
14. Design strategies to effectively introduce products to target markets, employing diverse marketing channels and sales strategies.
15. Cultivate strategic channel-based partnerships and relationships to magnify market reach.
16. Identify and monitor emerging electronics technologies relevant to defence platforms (e.g. AI accelerators, open‑architecture electronics, advanced sensors, secure processors).
17. Establish early technical engagement with technology providers prior to formal programme insertion.

26. Evaluate technology readiness levels (TRL) and identify areas requiring additional R&D investment.

30. Assess the resource requirements for product development, including skilled labour and manufacturing capabilities.
31. Evaluate the product's scalability potential to ensure it meets growing customer demands and market expansion.
32. Comprehensive Risk Assessment
34. Identify any potential operational barriers, including regulatory approvals and customer adoption issues.
35. Evaluate competitive risks, including threats from existing players and new market entrants.
36. Analyze customer demand fluctuations and market variations that may impact overall projections.

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in Engineering, or a related field is required.

>7 years of experience in defence, aerospace, or high‑reliability electronics systems.

Proven experience in product management, particularly in managing electronics or embedded systems on defence platforms, is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to travel on short notice for business needs.
