Duties / Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

• Be an advocate for child-centred mentoring
• Recruit, screen, select, train, match and support volunteer mentors to provide mentoring support to children, and light-touch support to parents as a family friend
• Outreach to ComLink+ families, schools, and existing Life Community programmes
• Co-developing weekly programme curriculum, to support mentors in building relationships and enabling positive learning experiences for children aged 6 to 13, based on their assessed needs
• Ensure the smooth running of mentoring sessions, including facilitation of group sessions
• Plan and organise half-yearly outings for family bonding
• Schedule home visits with children and their caregivers when necessary, including assessing their needs and strengths, and providing relevant support
• Support in impact assessment to evaluate programme outcomes
• Maintain administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate mentor-mentee records, managing databases and handling relevant correspondence

Requirements – Experience & Competencies

• Preferably possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Education, Early Childhood, or a related field
• Relevant experience in the social service or education sector or grass roots/community work
• Passion for children and families from vulnerable backgrounds
• Strong team player, with good facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong stakeholder and people management skills
• Able to work on selected evenings and weekends(equivalent time-off will be granted)

Duties / Responsibility

Centre Administration

• General office administration such as correspondence, filing, faxing, photocopying, mailing.
• Attend to general enquires, enrolment, answering of telephone calls, taking down of messages and replenishing supplies.
• Assist in coordinating of holidays/ad-hoc programmes (eg arrangement of transport).
• Minutes-taking during staff meeting.
• Ensuring inventory listing for Centre is updated and hardcopy purchases are filed.
• Attend to parents at the door and support the student dismissal process
• Manage daily student attendance and temperature record
• To update notice board/ replenish Office supplies
• In charge of Centre IT equipment, eg. laptops and thermometers
• To handle Centre maintenance and troubleshooting
• To collect items to and from another Centre where feasible

Accounts

• Collection of enrolment fees, issuing of receipts and follow-up on payments.
• Processing of students’ subsidies with MSF and general claims.
• Weekly banking and liaison with accountant from corporate office on all accounting matters.
• Basic bookkeeping of all accounts.

General

• Other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager of Life Student Centre.
• Stand-in for teachers during their absence (fetching, supervision & discipline of students).

Requirements – Experience & Competencies

• Minimum qualification of a Diploma
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative roles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT savvy
• Meticulous and able to multi-task
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Numerically inclined, able to work independently
• Able to start work immediately or short notice period.

You will play an active role in identifying the needs of the children and to support their learning and holistic development through the following:

• Supervising and guiding the children with their homework
• Planning and delivering programmes, such as character development programmes
• Organising enrichment workshops that can help promote the overall development of the children
• Curate creative activities to develop skills and expand mindsets in the areas of innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Engage children in outdoor play that serves to build psychomotor skills

We are looking for a dedicated Caseworker to join our MightyKids, Families & Community programme team, where we work to support and uplift children and youth from low-income, underserved, vulnerable and at-risk families in the Telok Blangah community. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Casework management to support the children, youth, and caregivers. This may include intake and referral, psycho-social assessment, client engagement, goal setting, intervention planning and regular reviews.
• Manage engagement with parents and caregivers, including conducting intake assessment, home visits and maintaining regular communication through various platforms. 
• Conduct group work; plan and facilitate activities or events for the children and youth to support their holistic development.  
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to provide holistic support to the children and families. This involves participating in discussions and case conferences with community partners such as the Family Service Centres, schools and the Social Service Office. 
• Stakeholder management, including engagement and coordination with volunteers and corporate partners, to harness their continued support for the Programme.
• Maintain clear and updated administrative records, such as case notes, meeting minutes, attendance and event records. 
• Assist in analysing trends and assessing needs of the community and target clients. 
• Centre maintenance, to contribute to regular upkeep of the Programme’s premises, to build a clean and safe space for the children and youth. 
• Any other duties assigned by the Programme Manager

Requirements – Experience and Competencies 

• Diploma/ Degree in Social Work/ Psychology/ Counselling or other related discipline. 
• At least 3 years of working experience in Social Service Agencies, especially in children and youth work, will be an added advantage. 
• Keen interest in working with children and youth. 
• People-oriented, good interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with parents, caregivers, volunteers, and other stakeholders such as community partners. 
• Strong team player, proactive, with strong sense of ownership and accountability.

We are looking for dedicated Social Workers / Caseworkers to join our dynamic Friends of Children & Youth (FOCY) programme team, where we work to support and uplift children and youth from families affected by parental incarceration, as well as engage with their caregivers to provide holistic support. Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct intake assessments and client evaluations, and document individualized care plans, case notes, progress updates and closure reports. 

• Provide casework, groupwork and brief counseling or crisis intervention as necessary for clients and their families, including monthly home visits. 

• Assess and prioritize client and caregiver needs, ensuring services are delivered in line with established standards 

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and community partners, schools and healthcare providers to address client needs, while empowering clients through resource navigation and skill-building. 

• Facilitate and support child-centred mentoring interventions, including partnering with volunteer mentors to support client care plans.  

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organisational policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements; participate in quality assurance reviews and audits. 

• Plan and implement programmes or activities for clients, working with external partners or service providers where appropriate.  

• Assist in programme evaluation, data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform service improvements. 

• Train and mentor junior helping professionals or interns, fostering peer-to-peer learning and building competencies in case management, client engagement, and best practices. 

  
  

Requirements – Experience and Competencies 

• Possess a Graduate Diploma or Degree in Social Work or a related discipline 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in casework management; prior experience working with children and youth will be an advantage 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to connect genuinely with children and their caregivers 

• Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support programme objectives. 

• A reliable team player who is also able to work independently, demonstrating sound problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
