Skills / Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology recognised by the PE Board along with 3 years relevant experience in major infrastructure projects
• Working experience in geotechnical instrumentation and site investigation works
• Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions
• Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions
• Self-motivated team player with excellent organisational and communication skills

As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.

This role is based in Singapore.

Core Responsibilities

• Propose engineering documents for clients' approval, on-site installation and hands-on monitoring of sensors, instruments, and equipment
• Instruct supervise, manage, and monitor site personnel ensuring data processing, review , analysis, submission of reports
• Attending project meetings, schedule control, submit for permits for on-site installation, set up, and commission monitoring

• Possess a Degree in Geotechnical Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience
• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
• In-depth understanding of testing concepts
• Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
• Possess strong computer skills

Job Scope:

• To handle and manage daily operation and rectifications of faults, conduct regular audits of building and M&E facilities and works, ensure quality works are carried out on time schedule.
• Attend to all service requests such as changing faulty lightings, ceiling boards and other repair works in premises.
• To plan and oversee the appointed contractors in maintenance and repair works, ensure works are completed as per contract requirements. Physically inspect and approve work permits for all kind of activities performed by contractors, work closely with contractors to perform preventive maintenance and system troubleshooting and ensuring good Safety/GMP practices are compiled.
• To assist the Engineering Manager to implement the quality maintenance program and comply with regulatory requirement, Almac global policies and EHS requirement.
• Respond and attend to emergency calls and/or faults during office hours, after office hours, weekends, and public holidays.
• Management of Assets and Equipment inclusive of spare parts inventory, monitoring of the stock card for use of consumables e.g. air filters.
• Monitor and carry out daily routine checks on operations of building facilities (e.g. M&E, BMS System) in accordance with Authority requirements.
• To effectively communicate with internal stakeholders from executive management, internal business units, clients, external supplier partners and vendors.
• Conduct engineering investigation for Quality related deviations and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance performance level and improve robustness to meet cGMP requirement and optimization of efficiency.
• Any other duties as assigned by the immediate Superior from time to time.
