A DAY IN A LIFE

As a startup, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

1. Leadership & Collaboration

• Team Development: Lead the recruitment of a team of Pricing Analysts/Executives and train a motivated team to coordinate pricing strategy and execution
• Stakeholder Management: Chair coordination with Finance to ensure that pricing strategy is reflected in the P&L. Promote a collaborative environment between cross-functions (products, system, finance and key account management teams) that help resolve daily issues

2. Yield Performance 

• Weekly Forecasting: Evaluate sales forecast data , generate and present weekly yield forecasts, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for revenue growth.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor the variance between targeted vs. achieved yield and implement corrective pricing actions where necessary.
• Yield Strategy: Develop high-quality, simple, but consistent processes to ensure revenue is maximized with a similar pricing strategy for all agents and partners.

3. Revenue Integrity & AWB Governance

• Verification & Audit: Lead the systematic audit of Air Waybills (AWB) to ensure shipments are captured at the correct rates and surcharges.
• Reprocessing: Manage the team’s workflow for reprocessing incorrectly rated shipments, ensuring revenue recovery and preventing billing disputes.
• Root Cause Mitigation: Work with cross-functional teams (CTOs, system, and finance) to identify why rating errors occur and implement system-level fixes.

4. Ancillary & Cost-Linked Pricing (Other Charges)

• Surcharge Management: Manage and update all "Other Charges" (Fuel Surcharges, Security, Terminal Handling, etc.) across the network.
• Cost-to-Price Synchronization: Monitor underlying cost changes (vendor increases, fuel fluctuations, or regulatory fees) and ensure these are timely adjusted within "Other Charges" to protect net margins.
• Ancillary Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to introduce or optimize service-based charges to enhance total revenue per shipment.

5. Rate Lifecycle & System Integrity

• Agile Rate Updates: Oversee a team of Pricing Executives in loading and updating Contractual, Published, and Market rates in the core system with 100% accuracy.
• Market Benchmarking: Periodically review and adjust published rates to ensure Teleport remains competitive and aligned with current market demand and capacity shifts.
• System Efficiency: Work with finance and tech partners to streamline reporting and develop automated forecasting tools to increase productivity.

• Lead the technical and commercial structuring of BESS components within utility solar tenders — defining system capacity, duration, cycling assumptions, and grid services capability.

Operational Core Responsibilities

1. Oversee and ensure effective execution of rooftop solar maintenance activities (planned and unplanned) in line with contractual scope of work, service level agreements (SLA), and compliance to SOPs.

2. Coordinate annual and monthly maintenance planning, aligning manpower, site access, and third-party support schedules.

3. Provide on-site technical leadership in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting. Guide resolution based on root cause rather than symptoms.

4. Coordinate with Customer Service and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely communication of maintenance outcomes for effective client reporting and service continuity.

5. Review and verify site reports, inspection checklists, photos, and test records submitted by Technicians and Engineers. Ensure proper documentation for internal reference and client reporting.

6. Prepare high-level technical reports for various needs including client requests, compliance, analysis, claims, etc.

7. Oversee inventory planning and availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for ongoing operations; ensure stock readiness to minimize service disruptions and support operational continuity.

8. Ensure proper tracking, escalation, and closure of service tickets within defined SLA timelines, including continuous review of open items and coordination with relevant parties to resolve delays.

9. Plan, lead, and supervise execution of special technical projects (e.g., solar PV dismantling and reinstallation, equipment upgrades, relocations) in coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring scope clarity, schedule adherence, and risk control.

10. Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) standards in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and regulatory best practices.

Department Support Roles

1. Mentor and coach Engineer and Technician to improve technical competencies, task ownership, and work quality. Lead by example in field behaviour and problem-solving approach.

2. Assist in onboarding new field staff, delivering training on safety, standard tasks, and use of checklists or mobile apps. Support cross-division technical sharing if required.

3. Identify recurring issues or workflow inefficiencies. Recommend updates to checklists, SOPs, or job plans based on field feedback and lessons learned.

4. Provide technical input and documentation support for equipment failure investigations, including photo records, test results, and historical data.

5. Participate in high-priority maintenance or rectification works across other divisions/regions upon assignment by HOD.

6. Maintain professional relationships with clients, address operational concerns, and follow up on technical issues with support from the Customer Service and Commercial teams.

7. Act as the regional technical focal point for assigned accounts, building trust through consistent performance and communication.

8. Support technical risk reviews and provide site inputs during pre-project assessments or inter-departmental coordination meetings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Possess 3 years of experience in project management, construction, or operations & maintenance of rooftop solar PV system.
• Possess valid CIDB Green Card and Working at Height certification.
• Advance understanding of rooftop solar PV systems, including design, components, troubleshooting, and compliance with performance and safety standards.
• Good understanding in Job Method Statement, HIRARC preparation for high risk working environment.
• Ability to prepare preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, oversee field service teams, and ensure timely, quality execution aligned with SLAs.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and document maintenance results through accurate technical reports.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for mentoring, client engagement, and inter-departmental collaboration.
• Proven capability to lead and guide technicians and assistant engineers in daily operations, training, and field discipline.

About the Role

Responsible to lead and deliver the overall HR services, particularly in Payroll & Benefits services across the APAC countries under the Regional Shared Services Centre, focus on the internal client which includes managing critical service issues to resolution, liaising with countries HR Business Partners to ensure services meet required standards (inclusive of third party suppliers) and the ability to align to the business strategy in different countries within the SGS APAC region and imperatives to ensure the service delivery is in line with the requirements and expectations under the Service Level Agreement (SLAs).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Payroll & Benefits functions / areas in the HR Shared Service Centre to ensure quality and efficiency of the services in line with the Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and fully comply to the related standard & legislation.
• Accountable for the timely delivery of the Payroll & Benefits services and processes, including Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Welfare, HRIS, as well as day-to-day liaison with different stakeholders in APAC countries.
• Establish and standardize work procedures and best practice across different countries to improve the efficiency of the shared service team.
• Ensure the necessary interface and infrastructures are in place to facilitate the services offer to the countries.
• Continuous strike for “zero error” target in achieving the “Centre of Excellence” in HR deliveries.
• Ensure the governance of the service operations, including managing the budget, schedule expenditures and cost effective measurements of the shared services.
• Carry out necessary standard and process audit to ensure the compliance and alignment of the HR practices across different countries legal requirements.
• Manage the shared service team and develop a high performance culture within the service centre.
• Analyse variances in operations and initiate gap / cost reduction as appropriate.
• Continue develop, implement and drive the new initiatives in HR services, including of process improvement, automation, resource management.
• Prepare activity, budget and performance activities reports to the management.
• Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.

Responsible for accurate and timely Accounts Payable and P2P execution, ensuring clean vendor records, proper cost matching, and audit-ready documentation. This role supports subscription, services, and project operations and operates strictly within defined finance controls and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchase Invoice Processing

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Perform 3-way matching (Purchase Order, Delivery Order / GRN, Invoice) where applicable.
• Validate pricing, quantities, payment terms, and supporting documents against approved PO or contract.
• Ensure correct GL coding, cost centre allocation, and GST treatment in accordance with IRAS and company guidelines.
• Monitor and prevent duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorised postings.

2. Purchase Order Monitoring & Reconciliation

• Monitor open Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with budget owners for timely closure.
• Review and clear aged or unused POs to maintain system accuracy and data integrity.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between PO, GRN, and invoice.
• Maintain complete, organised, and audit-ready documentation for all P2P transactions.
• Support PO accruals and reversals during month-end and quarter-end closing.

3. Vendor Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor master data, in accordance with approval controls.
• Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations.
• Prepare bi-weekly payment schedules in line with vendor credit terms and internal approval timelines.
• Handle vendor enquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

4. Month-End Closing & Reconciliation

• Perform AP ageing review and reconcile AP sub-ledger to General Ledger.
• Prepare accruals for unbilled expenses and ensure completeness of liabilities.
• Support finance closing activities and provide required schedules when requested.

5. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and company SOPs.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by providing accurate and timely documentation.
• Escalate control gaps, missing documentation, or irregular transactions promptly.

6. Process Improvement & System Support

• Identify opportunities to improve AP and P2P efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
• Support documentation and updates of AP-related SOPs.
• Prepare periodic AP reports and basic KPIs for review by Finance.
• Exposure to automation or RPA initiatives (e.g. Power Automate, Power Apps) is an advantage; willingness to participate in process automation is expected.

7. Collaboration

• Work closely with Finance (GL / FP&A), Procurement, Sales Ops, and Operations teams to ensure smooth P2P execution.
• Provide accurate AP inputs to support subscription billing, renewals, and cost tracking.
• Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving operational discipline and compliance.

8. Travel

• Occasional travel to Singapore HQ (approximately twice yearly if incumbent is in Malaysia) for meetings, training, or regional coordination.
