RESPONSIBILITIES
THE ROLE: Executive/Senior Executive, Communications & Editorial
The Executive/Senior Executive, Communications & Editorial role supports Kaplan Singapore's brand positioning by developing clear, engaging and compliant content across owned, earned and paid channels. The role safeguards brand consistency, identifies and executes storytelling opportunities, supports PR and corporate events, coordinates interviews, monitors media opportunities and works with internal stakeholders to meet communication needs aligned with marketing, recruitment and institutional objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications
- A brand advocate for Kaplan Singapore to consistently communicate its value proposition across all owned, earned and paid media channels
- Identify leads for stories and implement them to tell the Kaplan brand story including those useful for marketing communications that will benefit the organization and strengthen its brand positioning
- A brand guardian that supports senior team members in overseeing the accurate and consistent application of the brand (in written form) across all marketing and communication channels.
- Develop engaging and timely content for the Kaplan brand for all owned media (eg. social media, website, campus environments) and earned media (eg. TV, press) through written posts, write-ups, videos and others related, to build awareness and brand affinity with our audience and drive interest to convert them. This includes, occasionally, working with external creative agencies to produce the content.
- Organizing and coordinating interviews for stories with guest speakers, students, lecturers and others
- Independently manage corporate events and PR activities (eg. Kaplan partnership events, launch of a corporate initiatives) from planning to implementation including the need to research, write and distribute media releases
- Creative use of owned and earned channels to maximize organization's propositions and positive exposure
- Liaising and providing support to internal stakeholders relating to Communication needs with alignment to the Kaplan brand and tone.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels and across the different departments
- Monitor media daily for newsworthy information for sharing and for opportunities useful in promoting the organization
Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance of marketing and communication materials with SSG regulatory guidelines for assigned portfolios.
Support any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Head of Department
- Assist in ad hoc projects that align with the institution's broader marketing and recruitment objectives.
- Respond promptly to any last-minute content needs or adjustments, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to meet evolving marketing goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Possess at least a Diploma in Public Relations and Communications
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience with proven experience as PR executive
- Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through the various channels
- Solid knowledge in social media (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin)
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Creative and analytical mind. A problem solver.
- Highly motivated, resourceful and results-oriented team player with strong commercial acumen and passion for challenges.
- Ability to multi-task with high level of initiative and able to work independently.
- Excellent presentation and strong writing skills.
- Fluent in suite of Microsoft Office applications

Desirable
- Possess a Degree in Public Relations and Communications
- Creative and out-of-the-box thinker.
- Due to the nature of the job where Mandarin Editorials are required, the ability to read Business Mandarin will be preferred.
- Experience working in agency will be of an advantage
OTHER INFORMATION
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
