Duties to Perform:

The Senior Chemical Engineer will work on designing, tendering, and monitoring the installation of bulk chemical and high purity chemical systems for industrial facilities in semiconductors, electronics, biopharma, and related industries. The gas systems include bulk chemicals, high-purity chemicals, slurries, and related distribution networks.

The Senior Chemical Engineer will collate the client’s capacity requirements and specifications and prepare the conceptual design, make a detailed design for system capacity, configuration, schematic, P&ID, PFD, layout, distribution, and system parameters, and prepare documents like the scope of work, reports, pecifications, standards, logistics, and detailed drawings for tender.

The Prospective Candidate will review proposals from contractors and continue to support them during installation when required. The Prospective Candidate will work closely with other disciplines such as Architects, Civil, Cleanroom, Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, and Construction Engineers, as well as CAD/ BIM designer in designing and delivering the project.

Requirements:

You should have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.

You should have sound experience in designing high-purity chemicals and distribution systems related to semiconductors manufacturing or similar facilities. You should be able to comprehend clients’ URS, and design with concept design, schematics, PFDs, P&IDs, routing layout, the scope of work, specifications, and functional descriptions. The experience in designing Gas systems will be definite added advantage.

Your familiarity with the Semi standards and both Singapore and Malaysia standards, manufacturing tools, materials, and CAD/ BIM will be an added advantage. You should be able to make presentations to clients and engineers on design, tendering, project execution, supervising progress, and quality of work.

Responsibilities:

• Report to Head of Engineering
• Support and oversee site QA/QC team on the quality control and safety matters and to ensure Environmental, Safety & Health (EHS) practices are carried out at all time and identify high risks safety hazard activities before construction and approval of Method Statements
• Develop and execute rigorous test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and safety
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality concerns throughout the lifecycle

• Liaise with authorities i.e., BCA on assessment to achieve target QA/QC score, LTA on inspections and compliances, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a QA/QC Engineer or similar role
• Proficiency in developing and executing test plans
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and diagnose complex issues

Perform shift duties (12-hours shift) to support the running of production in the Module and ensure process readiness and worthiness for production.

Job Responsibilities:

● Follow SOP and carry out OCAP/OI as per specification
● Execute good disposition of lots in the line on thin film CMP tools
● Obtain data for lots affected by tool faults for disposition to minimize the held time for the lots. Always use SOP/CAS in lots disposition.
● Troubleshoot process related issues. Provide detailed and accurate passdown of lot disposition details.

● Ensure data completion for all information required to be filled up by Operators, Technician/AE part
● Analyze SPC charts using ViewChart. Respond to all SPC rules and follow OCAP correctly. Know basic annotation and achieve quality troubleshooting rate for SPC OOC/OOS points.
● Setup and troubleshoot issues in recipes/job files in all metrology tools within the Module. Do regular housekeeping of production job files.
● Assist Engineers in the qualification and fine tune of new processes and new equipment for production.
● Participate in Module CIT programs to improve quality and productivity of the Module.
● Constantly monitor and feedback process issues to Engineers for further improvement.
● Coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure that work is carried out according to SOP to meet Module objectives.
● Ensure and follow good housekeeping and safety practice when works in the FAB or in the office area.
● Assist new Technician / AE on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as their buddy.
