Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the centre including Student Recruitment, Publicity and Promotional Activities, Curriculum Planning
• Organize Special Community Events, Excursions, Plan and Implement Parent Collaboration Projects, Year End Concert/Graduation Concert.
• Plan and co-ordinate Innovative Projects in collaboration with Community partners, eg; Residents’ Committee, Primary schools, etc)
• Collaborate with staff in long-term planning.
• Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provides personal, professional and career development.
• Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues which affect the whole school’s performance.
• To plan, design, implement, coordinate and evaluate curriculum, programme, lesson plan in accordance with The Orange Tree Preschool’s vision, mission and core values.
• Monitor and improve the quality of curriculum/programme through regular evaluation and coordinate/develop professional development sessions with teachers and continuous research.
• Review and mentor teachers’ preparations on lesson evaluations/reflections and children’s portfolios
• Conduct lesson observation, assessment and analysis to identify new development needs of teachers and recommend training needs/methods.
• To do opening and closing shift when necessary, amounting to a minimum of forty-four (44) hours in a week (excluding 1- hr lunch)

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Pre-school Education - Leadership (DPE-L).
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• At least 2 year of relevant supervisory experience in a childcare setting

• To encourage children to take pride in their own environment and show respect and concern for others, to the benefit of the school as a caring and gracious community
• To be responsible for all aspects of classroom management eg. Care of equipment with resources well-labelled and accessible. Maintain a tidy, well organized room.
• To observe and use a variety of methods to record children’s holistic development. Keep appropriate records of achievement for each child in class and provide individual child’s portfolios/reports.
• To build positive links between yourself and parents of children under your care.
• To guide, motivate and monitor Assistant Teacher/Classroom helpers in carrying out their tasks.
• To follow assigned work shift patterns of the centre.

Job Requirements:

• Candidates must possess either a Diploma in Preschool Teaching (DPT) / Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Have a passion for children
• Able to work independently as well as in a team

Job Summary

Support HR functions across 6 childcare centres by managing recruitment, compliance, employee records, benefits administration, and government reporting to ensure smooth HR operations and statutory adherence.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, selection, and screening processes to hire qualified staff for 6 childcare centres
• Monitor employee contract expiries, work permit validity, and confirmation due dates to ensure timely renewals and compliance
• Maintain and update accurate staff personal files and records for audit readiness
• Prepare and submit monthly HR reports to track workforce metrics and inform management decisions
• Review and ensure HR policies and processes comply with statutory requirements and update as needed
• Administer staff benefits including leave records, insurance claims, and medical claims to support employee welfare
• Coordinate work pass medical examinations and manage work pass processing and collection to meet regulatory standards
• Process training applications and file for training grants when applicable to support staff development
• Compile monthly relief staff timesheets accurately for payroll processing to ensure timely salary disbursement
• Manage submissions of government surveys, mandatory documentation, and statutory reports to maintain regulatory compliance
• Prepare appointment letters, confirmation letters, and other HR administrative documents to formalize employment actions
• Process government-paid maternity leave and childcare leave reimbursements to support employee entitlements
• Perform ad-hoc HR duties as assigned to support operational needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of HR administration experience preferred
• Knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and HR best practices preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with management and staff
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide professional HR advice
• Availability to start work on short notice preferred
