Perform surface preparation and painting tasks safely and efficiently, including working at heights and maintaining work areas and equipment.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling cracks or holes in walls and ceilings using putty or plaster to ensure smooth painting surfaces
Apply paint, varnishes, sealants, and finishes using rollers, brushes, or spray guns to deliver high-quality coatings
Follow workplace safety rules and consistently use personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment
Protect adjacent surfaces from paint splatters by covering them and clean work areas thoroughly after painting tasks
Maintain painting tools and equipment by properly handling, cleaning, and storing them to ensure readiness and longevity
Erect scaffolding or operate lifting equipment such as boom lifts to safely access elevated painting areas
Work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors for extended periods, demonstrating physical fitness and endurance
Mix paint colors and apply coatings according to job specifications and quality standards
