Job Summary

Lead and manage electrical installation projects by coordinating site activities, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting project costing to ensure timely, high-quality delivery and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned electrical installation projects on schedule by coordinating with the Site Management Team and monitoring progress
• Collaborate with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines
• Manage project implementation and completion to achieve smooth operational flow and client satisfaction
• Support project costing and re-engineering efforts to optimize profit margins, prepare monthly progress claims, and control expenditure budgets
• Advise customers and site teams on equipment selection to meet project requirements
• Participate actively in technical discussions and progress meetings with clients, M&E consultants, and sub-contractors to resolve issues and align expectations
• Assist the Safety Coordinator/Safety Officer in planning, assessing, and implementing the Project Safety System to maintain compliance and safety standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and company goals

Required competencies and certifications

• Relevant academic qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related fields
• Proven project management experience in electrical installation projects, particularly turnkey and addition & alteration (A&A) works, with strong technical knowledge and site experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project software for project planning and documentation
• Effective communication skills with demonstrated leadership and initiative
• Ability to work onsite predominantly and occasionally after office hours to meet project schedules

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working at local construction sites

Job Summary

Assist and collaborate with the contract manager and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery under tight deadlines for bill pickup and design for project tendering. Support project cost management and materials sourcing. Occasionally assist the Project Team with project management and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation including Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates, and Contracts to support project bidding
• Perform take-offs, measurements, design calculations, and Bill of Quantities preparation to ensure accurate project costing
• Coordinate project tenders, material quantity pick-offs, tabulation, and manage addendum or amendment notices in liaison with the Contract Manager
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms
• Source project materials and services to meet specifications and timelines
• Respond promptly and accurately to queries related to project tenders and quotations
• Assist the Project Team with project management and documentation as requested to support project delivery
• Manage workload independently and maintain performance under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Execute additional duties as assigned to support project and company objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Related Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant project tendering experience including at least 1 year of on-site project management in the local construction industry
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) services
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD software
• Effective communication skills to engage all organizational levels and demonstrate high initiative
• Motivated, responsible, and able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure

• Lead cross-functional site project teams to deliver assigned projects on schedule and within quality standards
• Supervise workers and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality requirements
• Manage project implementation by coordinating resources and activities to achieve smooth progress and completion
• Analyze project costs and apply re-engineering strategies to enhance profit margins while preparing monthly progress claims and controlling expenditure budgets
• Direct testing and commissioning activities of project teams to validate system performance and compliance
• Conduct customer training sessions post-project completion to ensure effective operation and maintenance of installed systems
• Provide technical guidance to customers and site teams in selecting appropriate equipment aligned with project specifications
• Participate actively in technical discussions and progress meetings with clients, M&E consultants, and contractors to resolve issues and align project objectives
• Support the Safety Coordinator/Officer in planning, assessing, and implementing project safety systems to maintain a safe work environment

• Proven project management skills in electrical installation projects, particularly turnkey and A&A works, with strong technical and site expertise
• Effective communication skills in English and Mandarin to engage with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project software, and good knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit
• Ability to lead teams with strong leadership qualities, high initiative, and resilience under pressure
• Willingness and ability to work onsite predominantly and occasionally outside regular office hours due to project schedules
